SolarSheat 1500GS-DC 2PAK Installation Manual 2.0 All building, plumbing, electrical and safety codes supersede the instructions in this manual. The manufacturer assumes no liability for improper installation. Use this manual at your own risk. 1.1 Introduction The SolarSheat 1500GS 2 Pak is a modular solar collector system designed for supplemental room heating. The 1500GS 2 Pak incorporates two 1500GS SolarSheat collectors, a duct kit with a PV module and DC fan. Interior air is drawn though the SolarSheat, heated up and pushed back into the adjoining room. The system is self-powered and does not require any external electrical connections. An AC (110 volt) configuration is available for longer duct runs for roof mounting). 1.2 2 Pak Installation The SolarSheat 1500GS 2 Pak should be mounted on a south facing wall or roof (in the Northern Hemisphere) in order to optimize the performance of the solar collector. Please fully read Your Solar Home installation directions for roof mount or wall mount prior to installation. This manual only contains information pertinent to 2 Pak configurations of SolarSheat installations. PV module is now separated from the collector. 85 9/16" 2173 88 15/16" 2259 Front View 1500GS 1500GS 2 2.0 SolarSheat 1500GS 2 Pak packing list (Part # 1252) Cut Supp ly Hole 1 3/4" 19 Cardb oard tem plate Remove kno ckout 2 Remove kno ckout 4 Remo ve kno ckout Remo ve kno ckout 3 Cut supply & return holes through template. - cut matching insulation at 45SolarSheat deg. angle backing (bigger to the inside) 45 Deg ree Cha mfe r cut in the 3 Drilling the holes for the SolarSheat collector WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (For roof mount, please refer to SolarSheat Roof Mount Installation Manual) Note: Make sure the distance of the overhang or eve is 1.5 X the distance to the top of the collector. 1.
