The 700-00188-000 tray and backplate assembly provided in Installation Ship Kit 850-00188-000 (or-002) was designed for use in new installations, or in plug-and–play installations where the existing Garmin GNS5XX tray and/or backplate (p/n’s 115-00345-XX / 011-00671-XX) were found to be damaged or worn. In these installations the Avidyne 700-00188-000 tray/backplate assembly may be used as a direct replacement of the Garmin tray/backplate assembly. PMA approval of the 700-00188-000 provides installation authority in aircraft identified in PMA authorization letter for this part (see attachment). PMA approval of the 700-00188-000 tray: 1. may be used in new installations of IFD540 2. may be used when the existing Garmin GNS5XX tray is damaged or worn 3.
