2015 Parker Invitational Wrestling Tournament General Information Sheet

Time:
** First Round will start at 10:00 a.m. This round will be all of the
pigtail matches. The Consolation and Finals round will be
approximately 15 minutes following the last round of wrestle backs.
We will be using two mats for this tournament.
Drawings: The drawing and seeding meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 28th,
2015. We will be conducting the meeting over the DDN. If there is a conflict at
your school you may go to one of the other schools in the tournament or come to
Parker that evening. The “air-time” that has been scheduled is from 6:30 to 9:00
p.m. We will start with the 106 lb. weight class and work our way up to 285lbs.
If an athlete is entered at the seeding meeting and fails to meet the requirements following weighins (illness, injury, not making weight, etc) and there is no replacement, the open spot becomes a
forfeit not a bye. Byes will only be used if no wrestler is actually entered during the seeding
meeting.
Please be sure to notify your school tech coordinator as to the date so they
can help you if any problems would arise during the seeding meeting.
Weigh Ins: Weigh-ins will be conducted at home as per SDHSAA rule or your entire team
may weigh in at Parker starting at 8:00 a.m.

Entry Fee: A $100.00 entry fee must be mailed before or brought with you the day of the
tournament. Checks should be made out to: PARKER SCHOOL.
Awards:
Plaques will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams. Medals will be awarded to
the top four (4) individuals in each weight class. There will also be a plaque for
an outstanding wrestler. Outstanding wrestler will be determined by one ballot
per school.
Passes:
No passes will be issued. Your coaches, wrestlers, managers, cheerleaders, and
bus driver will be stamped at the door.

3. Dressing room assignments will be made. No coolers are allowed in the gym. If
you need to store coolers, a designated area will be provided.
4. Make sure everyone is present when being stamped.
5. Consolation matches will be 1-2-2 in length.

participating in today’s event. These teams come from both class “B” and class “A” as well as two
teams from Minnesota.
Our hope is that you enjoy some great wrestling, cheer on your favorite athlete, support your team
and show good sportsmanship.
Our concession stand is being run by our youth wrestling parents and all of the proceeds will go to
support the future of Parker Wrestling. Please visit the concession stand today and enjoy some good
food and drinks.
