I work at the Division of Communication Systems, headed by Prof. Erik G. Larsson, at the Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY). Sep 2012 – July 2014 I conducted postdoctoral research within the topic “Optimization of Green Small-Cell Telecommunication Networks”. I was sponsored by an International Postdoc Grant that I received from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet). Main hosts at SUPELEC: Mérouane Debbah and Marios Kountouris. Post-Doc, Signal Processing Lab, School of Electrical Engineering Dec 2011 – July 2014 KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. The first part (until Sept. 2012) of this postdoc consisted of fully independent research on “Optimal Resource Allocation in Coordinated Multi-Cell Systems” and resulted in a scientific book with the same title. During this time I also gave lectures in the PhD level course Matrix Algebra (30 hours). During the second part (Sept. 2012 to July 2014), KTH only served as my Swedish “home university” for the international postdoc grant “Optimization of Green Small-Cell Telecommunication Networks” from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet). The postdoc research was conducted at SUPELEC, France. TEACHING SKILLS Courses in Teaching I have taken a course on research supervision given by Linköping University: “Research supervision – Advanced Course in Higher Education Pedagogy” (4 credits). The certificate is enclosed. I have taken two courses on applied teaching and learning, course design, and reflective practice given by KTH Learning Lab: Basic Communication and Teaching (3 credits) and Learning and Teaching (7.5 credits). The latter two courses are part of my doctoral degree. In summary, I have 14.5 credits in pedagogical courses. Teaching Experience I am currently course responsible, examiner, and lecturer in the courses TSKS02 Telecommunication (Fall 2014) and TSRT04 Introduction in Matlab (Fall 2014) at Linköping University. These courses are both on bachelor level. The former is in English and has 20 students, the latter is in Swedish and has 160 students. Lecturer in Matrix Algebra (Spring 2012): I held some lectures in Matrix Algebra for PhD students. I have supervised to Master’s degree projects at KTH: “Remote sensing techniques for the retrieval of snow parameters” (2008) and “Statistics-Aware Quantization in Multi-Antenna Communication Systems” (2009). I have given One-hour seminars based on the book at both universities (Eurécom, Supélec, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, Linköping University, and University of Luxembourg) and to the telecommunications industry (Ericsson Research in Stockholm and Alcatel-Lucent in Paris and in Stuttgart). Three-hour tutorials were given at PIMRC 2013 in London, UK, and ICC 2014 in Sydney, Australia. OTHER SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE Research Grants • October 2014: I have received funding from CENIIT for the research project “Radio Resource Management in Massive MIMO Communication Systems”. • June 2012: I was one of the first recipients of the International Postdoc Grant from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet).
