Dear members,
We are pleased to announce that the Board of
Directors for Harmony Hall Centre for Seniors/
Call-A-Service, Inc. have decided to look for
merger opportunities. This means that our
Agency will be actively seeking another agency
that we can “marry”. Our Board has created
some conditions that must be met for any merger
to move forward: 1) Services to members and
clients will not be reduced, 2) Services will
continue from our current locations, and
3) Employees will keep their jobs. We believe
that merging with another agency will allow us to
provide a wider variety of services to our clients
and members. The process of finding
another agency to “marry” is one that we take
very seriously, as our Board wants to ensure we
make the best possible choice. Our merger
process will likely take many, many months to
complete. During this process, as more
information becomes available, we will share it
with our Membership Committees and through
the agency newsletters. If you would like more
information or have questions right now about
our merger process please contact our Executive
Director Kristin Griffith at
[email protected] or 416-752-0101.
Thank you!

What does the new year hold?
Inspired by God
By Mary Louise Porter
What does the coming new year hold for you?
Is it new hopes, wishes, and new dreams too?
Only time will tell what the coming year will hold . But you can help
yourself make it better than the old . Make the year one in which you
strive for your best. Keep that diet, those old resolutions and all the
rest. The way won’t be easy, that you will know; but if you don’t start
now, when will you do so? The next year may hold sorrow, even tears,
but persevere onward and overcome all your fears.
For the year may also hold joys untold; what began as a gray day may
end up as gold . Step out boldly in faith for all of your days and ease
someone else’s path along the way. We don’t travel this beautiful world
alone enjoying the ride . By helping each other we can take our own
life in stride . So a very happy new year to one and to all! Take each
day at a time– make happy memories to recall .
SPECIAL THANKS TO CRESCENT TOWN MEMBERS
Nellie Wood and Helen Pearce
Although Nellie is not on the Committee she does a lot of legwork contacting and distributing information and material to our Crescent Town members. This is especially helpful and important at
this time as the Club is still closed and members are not able to get together and exchange news.
********************
Helen is very much involved with the Royal Canadian Legion and despite her heavy schedule
planning for Remembrance Day, she was able to arrange for veterans Jim LeRoy and Darcy
Hickey to come to speak to us at the November potluck.
