The Buckley Senior Activity Center is open
to all men and women 55 and older in the
greater Buckley area.
Come and join us daily for lunch!
Lunch is served Monday through
Friday at 12:00pm. A suggested
donation of $3 is asked of those that
are 60 years or older and $5.75 is
required of those under the age of 60.
Because supplies and ingredients for
our meals are delivered to our site a week out, we ask
that anyone planning on joining us for lunch, register in
advance. To do this please call 360-829-0190. Your
thoughtfulness in this matter is very much appreciated,
thank you.
While you’re at it, take advantage of our free van
transportation to get to and from the Center. Our van is available to any senior
citizen residing in the White River School District area (this includes Buckley,
Carbonado, Wilkeson, South Prairie, and Prairie Ridge) every Monday,
Tuesday, and Friday. There are no income limits required for eligibility of van
use; however, all participants are required to fill out a membership form.

Buckley’s Soup Supper
Hosting Organizations Needed
The City of Buckley hosts a free soup supper once each month. This event is targeted towards folks of any age and any stage and aims to fill a community need as well
as provide an opportunity for neighbors to meet neighbors. Buckley’s soup supper is
held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Multi-Purpose Center (811 Main
St., Buckley, WA 98321) at 5:00pm. Participants are asked to bring their own bowl
and spoon for the evening (with the idea being that we provide the meals, and you do
the dishes). We are currently looking for organizations that would like to host a given
month in 2015. Organizations are welcome to play games, host trivia night, do sing-a-longs, do non-fee based raffles,
etc., but not obligated to.
Hosting organizations are expected to provide enough food to comfortably feed 75
people. We will provide salt, pepper, water, and coffee. The hosting organization will need to have one person on hand
with a food handlers card, and provide:
