Ying LAU holds bachelor degree, master degree and doctoral degree from University of Hong Kong, Hong
Kong. She had clinical experience over 15 years in different hospitals. She is an Assistant Professor in
Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She
is a programme coordinator for BSc (Nursing)(Honours) and a chairperson for mentorship programme.
Prior to her current position, she was an Associate Professor at School of Health Sciences, Macao
Polytechnic Institute for over 6 years and she obtained 2009/2010 Degree Programme Distinguished
Teacher Award. Her major research interest is mental health among perinatal women, instrument
development and breast-feeding promotion. She conducted several large-scale studies in Mainland
China, Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore.
