Subject: Poor facilities in the hospitals
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I Juweria Qureshi, of Rohini East would
like to draw your attention towards the poor facilities in the hospital in my locality.
The hospital is ill- equipped and dirty. The wards are not only filthy but also the beds are
broken. I was alarmed to see cotton and bandages lying in the open. There is no restriction
while entering the operation theatre and the instruments are hardly sterilized. The doctors and
nurses are untrained and unavailable most of the time. They are overworked and do not attend
to the long queues for OPD patients. The patients tend to catch infection instead of being
treated.
I strongly oppose such unhygienic and careless state of the hospital which caters to the
medical need of about 2000 houses and families in my locality. I suggest more trained staff
should be employed. Workers should be instructed about cleanliness and hygiene failing
which, they should be punished. The hospital can raise money from different sections of the
society and use the same to upgrade their services. We, the residents of Rohini East, are ready
to support the hospital for this cause.
I request you to kindly publish my letter in your newspaper so that the concerned authorities
take the necessary action at the earliest.
Yours sincerely
JUWERIA QURESHI
