When moving object is collided to the bumper head of shock absorber, the
piston is moved into the body and the oil in the body is stored in Accumulator
through the groove in the outer of piston. During this process, damping force
is occurred because the kinetic energy is changed to thermal energy and it
is dissipated in the atmosphere. When moving object is returned to original
position, the piston is also located in original position by the compressed recoil
spring.

Properties
●KMA model is adjustable type so you could control the damping force according to impact velocity. KMA model has the 12 step
range to rotate the dial 0” to 300” so it is possible to get the fine tuning.
●The new KMA model has larger energy absorption capacity compared with that of old model because of increasing total surface
area of Piston. So it has wide range of Effective Weight.
●The body of KMA model is designed as one unit so it is very solid and root up the “ Bottom out “ problem.
●Threaded body of KMA provide mounting flexibility, location accuracy and increased surface area for improved thermal energy
dissipation to the atmosphere.
●Material of Piston Rod is hardened stainless steel and the bearing protect the seal and is made of special material that remains
durable for a long time to ensure a long lifespan.
●KMA has various option for the Bumper head : Steel, Steel + hard cap (black) and Steel + soft cap (Green). You could select the
option in accordance with condition of impact and circumstance.
●On using Bumper head, you do not need to use Stop collar and if you use Polypad or Urethane Cap, it makes reduce the noise.

1. When the moving load is collided to bumper head, the piston rod enters inner tube according to stroke and check valve is closed with
the oil chamber compressed.
2. The oil in chamber is absorbed the impact force by discharging through multiple orifice.
3. Also piston rode inside body makes the oil push chamber piston to compress gas chamber according to stroke so the oil mutually
interacts with nitrogen gas to absorb shock efficiently and smoothly.
4. After absorption of impact force, compressed gas chamber deliver the force to oil chamber and the check valve open so the piston
rod is return.

1. W
hen the moving load is collided to bumper head, the piston rod enters inner tube according to stroke. The check valve is closed
and oil is discharging out of inner tube through orifices In this process, the oil is increased as much as the volume of piston rod and is
saved in accumulator
2. During this process, KHS model absorbs the impact force with damping force.
3. In return, Check valve opens and compressed coil spring makes the piston rod returned to original position. ●

KCSC Series
Stacker Crane Buffers

KCSC series is used usually in stacker crane of Automatic distributing system.
KCSC has wide range of capacity and stroke (Stroke 1500mm, Capacity 930
kJ). It is possible to design and manufacture for special purpose as customer’s
request. KOBA hydraulic buffer is met the Global industrial safety standards
like OSHA, AISE, CMMA, DIN, and FEM.

Compared with KHG series, KCSC has similar structure and principle but
KCSC is designed to have large volume of Gas compared with that of oil so it
has Low Peak and Low Recoil Force. This point makes the application operate
with minimum resistance force and absorb the impact force smoothly and
progressively in emergency case.

● KHC enables precise speed and location control for the moving loads with various strokes.
● KHC is easy to install and control and enables precise control of moving speed with wide range adjustment dial (300°) to elongate
the lifespan of machine and tools. It is used for precise operation such as auto feed drilling , grinding and cutting.
● Piston Rod of KHC is plated with hard Cr. And the body is plated to prevent damage during operations.
● Accessories is easily fixed to KHC with Snap Ring and Mounting Block . It is also easy to be relocated.
