Ideal for use in lipsticks, lip glosses, day creams, night creams, face creams, makeup and eye care treatment products. SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Store in cool, dry conditions at a temperature between 15°C (59°F) and 25°C (77°F). Shelf life is two years from the date of manufacture. OTHER: Soldoc TM 13 is an ester of tridecyl alcohol and trimellitic acid which hydrates, nourishes and softens the skin providing a soft, velvety, after-feel with long lasting emolliency. Soldoc TM 13 is compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic systems. Soldoc TM 13 can be used as a substitute for castor oil in lipstick and lip gloss applications. Do to its high refractive index (1.4850), Soldoc TM 13 will provide high gloss on the lips. Soldoc TM 13 will reduce “sweating”, provide long wear with high gloss and emolliency, will not oxidize and will provide excellent wax solvency for lipstick products. Soldoc TM 13 has excellent pigment wetting properties and will allow dispersions of up to 50% pigments (w/w) in lipstick and makeup applications. Because of its highly substantive, rich, skin feel, Soldoc TM 13 is ideal for use in skin creams and lotions. Soldoc TM 13 will improve the spreading capacity of creams and will provide a velvety, soft feel with excellent cushion at low use levels (1-3%). For sun care applications, Soldoc TM 13 will form a waterproof film on the skin providing water repellency. Soldoc TM 13 will increase the homogeneity of physical UV filters, thereby increasing UV absorption and SPF. Soldoc TM 13 is compatible with most oil phase ingredients but is insoluble in water. Soldoc TM 13 can be used in water in oil and oil in water emulsions. Soldoc TM 13 has a flash point of 270°C, a relative density of 0.965 (20°) gr/cm³ and a kinematic viscosity of 305. Recommended use levels for Soldoc TM 13 is 1-8%. Soldoc TM 13 is listed on the DSL, ASIA-PAC List of Chemicals and on the New Zealand Inventory of Chemicals.
