ALBURY AIRPORT INTRODUCTION OF
SURFACE MOVEMENT CONTROL
1.
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Following internal and industry feedback, a dedicated Surface
Movement Control (Albury GROUND) will be introduced at Albury.
2.
IMPLEMENTATION
2.1 This service will be introduced on Thursday 13th November 2014
unless otherwise notified by NOTAM and operational during normal
Tower hours as published by ERSA or NOTAM.
2.2 TOWER and GROUND frequencies can be operated combined
as required. When positions are combined, a transmission by
GROUND or TOWER will be broadcast on both frequencies, with an
aircraft or vehicle transmission made on either frequency, retransmitted
to the other.
3.
PROCEDURES
3.1 In addition to the responsibility for traffic on runway 07/25,
ALBURY TWR 123.25MHz will remain responsible for the Helipads,
Northern and Western Grass.
3.2 All aircraft and vehicles operating on the RWY, Helipad, Northern
and Western Grass must remain on TWR 123.25MHz.

3.3 Vacating the RWY, Helipad or Western Grass, aircraft should
automatically transfer to and contact Albury GROUND 121.8MHz.
3.4 For all departing aircraft contact Albury GROUND 121.8MHz for
Airways Clearance.
3.5
Departing aircraft should automatically transfer to and contact
Albury TOWER 123.25MHz approaching the Holding Point and for
helicopters on the Helipad, when ready.
3.6
Outside of TWR hours, aircraft should make all calls on CTAF
123.25 MHz with PAL & AFRU available. GROUND 121.8 MHz will have
no AFRU fitted and the retransmit facility will not be operational.
