About the event
Psychoanalyst Penny Crick and Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist Pauline
Hodson will present papers to open the discussion on the ‘ABC’ of Psychotherapy
Practice: Discussing the art of the analytic assessment and consultation and
interweaving these into the business of maintaining an analytic practice.
The day’s programme includes both presentations and interactive workshops
The Day’s Main Presentations
Form and Function in Psychoanalytic Consultation Penny Crick will be
discussing how the ‘function’ of psychoanalytic consultation is realized by its
‘form’, that is its ‘frame’, including not only the psychoanalytic setting, and possibly
the wider institutional setting, but also a psychoanalytical attitude on the part of
the consultant.
When a Therapist Means Business Pauline Hodson will be speaking to the
challenge that faces a therapist when she has to be the wearer of the therapist’s
hat and the hat of a business woman.
