Social visit to Museum De Cruquius
Here we will discover documents and objects illustrating the technical evolution of the struggle against
10:30 - 13:00 water and the creation of the polders, notably models and an original steam engine from the pumping
station dating from 1849. A coach will depart from the conference venue at 10.30 and will return at
approximately 13:00.
Technical visit to KLM Overhaul Facility
KLM Engineering & Maintenance has one of the most modern and environmentally friendly engine overhaul
shops in the world. In addition it is one of the largest General Electric (GE) aircraft engine overhaul shops in
aircraft MRO business. A guided tour in the engine shop will show you all the latest technologies, such as;
14:30 - 16:00 EB-welding, LASER-cladding, Dabber-TIG-welding, High Energy Plasma Spraying, Closed Loop Electric
Arc Spraying and much more. Transport will depart from the conference venue from 14:30, and will return at
approximately 16:00.
Attendees are required to bring their passport for admittance to the
facility.
