Press Release Contact: Joachim Stark, [email protected], +49(0)1577.8300087 20 Years Backcountry Access | 1994 – 2014 Winter sports backpacks: Stash Transport equipment comfortably and well packed For the 2014/2015 winter season, the deep snow sports specialists Backcountry Access have completely redesigned their range of backpacks, making them more robust and functional. Even fat freeride skis, snowboards and ice picks can be transported easily with the attachments provided. The Stash Packs have an insulated hydration sleeve and a separate compartment for shovels, probes and other tools. The BCA Stash packs come in three sizes with volumes of 20, 30 or 40 litres. The Stash winter sports backpacks are designed for use both off and on the piste. The Stash 20 is the smallest Stash pack and boasts a convenient and practical 20-litre volume, a diagonal ski attachment, ice pick holder and a snowboard attachment. The benefits of the Stash 20 are its compact dimensions and low weight of just 820 grams, as well as the fact that it does not restrict freedom of movement. It is therefore ideal for both piste skiing and freeriding. Backcountry skiers often need a bit more storage space. The Stash 30 and 40 can also hold extensive alpine and bivouac equipment and have a side attachment for skis as well as two ice pick holders. In addition, they also have a separate, large front compartment for avalanche safety equipment. Waist straps incorporating a zippered small pouch provide comfort, a secure fit and better power transfer. The main compartment can be accessed comfortably and flexibly by pulling down the wide, rugged zip fastening that goes almost the whole way around the pack. All Stash bags have a padded goggle pocket, several sturdy, stitched attachment loops and are made from robust, water-repellent Ripstop polyamide fabric that can withstand even heavy slams. The headquarters are in Boulder and Valmont, Colorado, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. As with many other innovative and product-driven companies, BCA had modest roots, beginning as a classic garage workshop. The primary objective at BCA is to save lives. This is the reason BCA develops its products. In the meantime, BCA is one of the market leaders in safety equipment and accessories for the backcountry. BCA has been under the umbrella of K2 Sports since 2013 and the existing portfolio has expanded to include safety-related products for winter sports enthusiasts. BCA is distributed in Europe by K2 Sports, based in Penzberg (south of Munich). WWW.BACKCOUNTRYACCESS.COM
