CITY GATE STATION
The City gate station are pressure reduction station used to reduce the pressure
from the pipeline pressure (usually 70 bar(g) or lower) to the pressure the
distribution pressure for civil and industrial application.
The main part of the station are: heaters section, filter section, regulation
section, metering station and odorizing section (for civil application).

PRESSURE REDUCTION STATION FOR THE DISTRIBUTION
Pressure reduction station for the distribution are used to reduce the pressure
from the distribution pipeline (usually pressure lower than 5 bar(g)) to the
pressure for the utilities (for example: boilers).
The main part of the station are: filter section, regulation section, metering
station.

FUEL GAS STATION FOR POWER GENERATION
Fuel gas station are used for supply gas for the turbine, which produces
electrical power.
The main projects are: EDF Martigues, EDF Blenod, ENEL Power Generation
Algeciras, SONELGAZ Illizi – El Golea – In Amenas, and EDF Bouchain.

METERING STATION
Metering Station are used for measuring the gas passed through the pipe.
The main technologies used are: turbine meters, ultrasonic flow meters, orifice
flow meter (Type: Junior Single Chamber and Senior Double Chamber).
Usually the metering station are composed by: metering lines, flow computer
(type 1 or type 2) and the technologies to define the composition of the gas
(GC).

EQUIPMENTS
From the 2010 we start to developed by our self the equipment used on the
pressure reduction station, so the first equipments developed were: cartridge
filters used to remove solid and liquid particles on the natural gas and heat
exchangers (BEU type) which are used to increase the temperature of the gas
before the pressure reduction.
To become more competitive on the market we start, during the 2011, to study
other equipment like: KO Drums, Filter separators, Three Phase separator,
water bath heater, electrical heater (vessel) .

The decision to produce by our self all the equipment used in the projects like
city gate station, fuel gas station for the power generation and so on change
some aspects of the team:
1. Increase the knowledge of the members of the team.
2. CPL becomes more competitive on the market because we decrease the cost
of the equipment.
3. CPL starts to quote also the equipment like filters and heat exchangers so we
increase the possibilities and the tenders where we are able to produce an
technical and an economical offer.

EQUIPMENTS – CARTRIDGE FILTERS
The cartridge filters are used to remove from the gas flow the solid end liquid particles. The Filter is composed by:
vessel, filter element and equipments (pneumatic or electrical) to check the filtering capacity.
The filter elements guarantee these efficiencies: 98% of solid particles >5 micron, 100 % of solid particles >10 micron
and 95% of the liquid particles .
The range of filters already produce are: CF 1 / CF 10 / CF 1,5 / CF 15 / CF 2 / CF 20 / CF 2,5 / CF 25 / CF 3 / CF 30.
The filters are designed for the following range of pressure:
PN16 / ANSI 150 ANSI 300 / ANSI 600.
Standard code used for the design is ASME VIII div. 1

For the European are PED certificated (B+D).

EQUIPMENTS – CYCLONE FILTERS
The cyclone filters are used to remove liquid (water and hydrocarbon) and solid particles (sand and dust) from the gas
flow.
The cyclones filters are used for the following applications:
pipe inlet of the compression station, metering station or
gas transportation.
The advantages are the following: high separation
efficiency, low maintenance. The blow down
of the
collected material archived on the bottom of the filter are
possible to remove: manually or automatically (for the
second case there is possible to chose the equipment
pneumatic actuated or electrical actuated).
The filters are designed for clients requirements.
Standard code used for the design is ASME VIII div. 1
(International Standard used worldwide) .
Input data for preparing the technical offer are: flow rate, gas composition, operating pressure, operating temperature
and internal material of the cyclone and Inlet and Outlet diameter.

EQUIPMENTS – FILTER SEPARATOR
The Filter Separator are used to remove liquid particles (water and hydrocarbon) and solid particles (sand and dust)
from the gas flow with a very high efficiency
The Filters Separator are used for the following
applications: process plant, fuel gas station, natural gas
pipeline upstream compressor station e metering station.
Usually is divided in two parts: the first part is where the gas
goes thought the filter where are placed the cartridges (for
the maintenance the filter is provide with a QOC) the
second part is where take place the vane.
The advantages are the following: very high separation
efficiency. The blow down of the collected material archived
on the bottom of the filter (if the filter is vertical or in a
separate reservoir connected to the filter separator are
possible manually or automatically; for the second case
there is possible to chose the equipment pneumatic
actuated or electrical actuated).
The filters are designed for clients requirements.

EQUIPMENTS – THREE PHASE SEPARATOR
The Three Phase Separator are designed to separate
water, gas and oil. Usually the Separator are equipped with
metering device for measure the water and the oil removed
from the gas flow rate.
The Three Phase Separator are used for the following
applications: process plant or gas storage.
The Separator are equipped with internal and external
components. The internal components are: inlet deflector,
vane pack and mist extractor. The external components are:
metering devices, relief valve, level and pressure
controllers, control valves and safety device (ESD valves).
The filters are designed for clients requirements.

EQUIPMENTS – HEAT EXCHANGER BEU TYPE
The Heat Exchanger BEU type are used to increase the
temperature of the gas before the pressure reduction. The
Heating is realized with the heat transfer from the hot Water
(Water Inlet Temperature 80 °C – Outlet Temperature 70 °C) to
the gas (Gas Inlet Temperature 5 °C). The Gas outlet
temperature depends on the pressure drop on the pressure
reducing valve.
The duty of this kind of heater are 10 kW to 300 kW (standard
products), also are available higher different duties for
customized products. The name of the products already
produced (Standard Products) are: HE 1 / HE 2 / HE 5 / HE 10 /
HE 15 / HE 20 / HE 30 2,5 / CF 25 / CF 3 / CF 30.

The heater are design for the following range of pressure: ANSI
300 / ANSI 600.
For the European are PED certificated (B+D).

EQUIPMENTS – WATER BATH HEATER
Water Bath Heater or Indirect Heater are used in a
variety of application from the Oil and Gas Production to
the processing and transmission industry. The Heater
contains the fire tube which allows a rapid transfer
(Radiant and convective) from the hot flame to the fire
tube. The Heat is transferred from the bath to the
coil/bundle.
The Heaters are composed of the following main parts:
Main Body, Coil or Tube Bundle (the technology used
is function of the duty and to minimized the
dimensions), water expansion tank, fuel gas line,
burner, fire tube, chimney, skid frame and insulation

EQUIPMENTS – WATER BATH HEATER
The Burner of the Water Bath Heater have two different types of controls: Pneumatic Control or Electrical Control.
Standard code used for the design is ASME VIII div. 1 (International Standard used worldwide) and API 12 K.
The heater are designed for the following range of pressure: from ANSI 300 to ANSI 2500.
