Summary
Stephen T. Hopper, P.E., Founder and Principal with Inviscid Consulting, is a supply chain professional
who is passionate about helping clients boost profitability by saving time and money, improving
customer-service levels, increasing capacity, and reducing risk in their production, warehousing,
distribution, and logistics operations. Steve has solved supply chain problems for numerous clients
ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations by cutting their operating costs and boosting
the performance of their people, inventory, facilities, information technologies, tools, and equipment.
During his career, which spans more than 25 years, Steve has held high-profile positions at several
leading companies in the supply chain industry, including Kurt Salmon, RedPrairie (now part of JDA),
Retek (now part of Oracle), and the logistics consulting unit of Deloitte. Steve earned a Bachelor of
Industrial Engineering (BIE) degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). He is also a
Six Sigma Green Belt and a licensed professional engineer (P.E.), and he occasionally serves as an expert
witness in litigation related to supply chain operations.
