The Act stipulates the Graduate university establishment and its operation principles. • CAO reported the role of Establishing Member for Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. Among the BOG members, 9 persons, excluding one person who declined, were appointed as the Establishing Members. • CAO reported the pending of 3.15 billion JPY budget for the FY 2009 supplementary budget allocated, caused by the government policy to revisit the supplementary budget. • OIST PC reported the new hiring of 3 Independent New Investigators and one Visiting Principal Investigator. • OIST reported that the Laboratory 1 and Center Building will be operational from 2010 as planned. 結果概要 • 内閣府より、学校法人を設置主体とする沖縄科学技術大学院大学を設置・運営するための法律である「沖縄科学技術大学院大学学園法」が成立したことについて、国会での審議の状況も含めて報告。 • 内閣府より、学園法に基づき学園の設立に関する事務を処理する設立委員について説明。運営委員のうち辞退を申し出た１名を除く９名を任命した旨を報告。 • 内閣府より、2009年度補正予算の見直しについて、大学院大学の施設整備費として計上されていた31.5億円が政府方針により執行停止となった旨を報告。 • 機構より、３名の若手主任研究者及び１名の非常勤主任研究者の採用が行われた旨報告。 • 機構より、キャンパス建設の進捗状況について、第１研究棟とセンター棟が 2010年にほぼ予定通りオープンできる旨報告。
