Subject: Bisphenol A (BPA) and Pall Filter Cartridge Products Dated: 23 June 2014 In response to wide spread concerns over the presence of bisphenol A (BPA) in foodstuffs, a number of countries have introduced legislative measures to reduce or eliminate sources of BPA in food contact materials. For example, the French National Assembly have introduced a series of extensive control measures - it is our understanding that these bisphenol A (BPA) requirements relate directly to containers, utensils and packaging in contact with food, and not large industrial installations such as Pall filtration equipment. However, it is understandable that customers, as part of an overall risk reduction plan, wish to identify any sources of BPA being used in contact with their products. Note that Pall Corporation also does this with our suppliers via an internal quality specification E-962 (http://www.pall.com/main/aboutpall/quality-at-pall/supplier-information.page). The following cartridge filters meeting the requirements of the food contact compliance program and the specifications set out in E-962 are not constructed with polymeric materials based on bisphenol A.
