LVT Partition
Product Description
Fig. 1
Exploded view of partiton with infill strip
Removable, non-load-bearing partitions for interior fit-out
consisting of surface-finished wall panels, glazing and
door elements.
Lindner‘s LVT-partitions enable flexible room design.
Changes can be carried out at any time.
After the initial installation it is simple to carry out changes
by just moving, removing or adding wall elements, or by
exchanging them (e.g. doors).
k6106
Fig. 2
Exploded view of linear strip
This partition system consists of a sandwich element and
can be build as linear or infill strip system. The wall panels are made from 19-mm thick chipboard panels, melamine-coated according to DIN 68 765, Emission Class
E1. The panel edges are coated with 0.4-mm to 0.8-mm
thick melamine resin as standard. If necessary, 1.5-mm
to 3-mm thick plastic or solid wooden edges can also be
applied. These are then bevelled. Galvanised steel fixing
hooks are screwed onto the reverse sides of the wall panels. Then the panels are ready for hooking into the system
studs. As an alternative, panels with real wood veneer on
chipboard or gypsum fibre board or metal wall panels are
possible. Gaskets are used to seal joints on the floor/ceiling channels and on the stud.

The Substructure
Fig. 5
Floor/Ceiling channels with stud
The substructure consists of folded and roll-formed steel
profiles either galvanised or coated.
When PVC-floor coverings are used, the floor channel is
designed that it can be fixed and sealed to the side of it,
glued and sealed. The standard surface for floor/ceiling
channel is powder-coated or coil-coated.
The wall panels are held in the system stud by fixing
hooks made of galvanised steel.
These studs consist of punched, galvanised steel profiles.
There are openings in the middle for horizontal installation of electrical cables, etc.

Shelving System
Fig. 6
Shelf bracket with shelf inserts
The design of this shelving system is ideal for offices. In
our partitions there is a concealed hook-on system for
shelf brackets attached in the vertical shadow gap along
the entire room height. These can be individually adjusted. The requirement upon load capacity is in accordance
with DIN 4103-Bracket Loads.

Installation System for Partition Systems
Gira ITS 30
The installation system Gira ITS 30 provides an installation with great flexibility and functionality in commercial
buildings.
Fig. 90
Gira ITS 30 brings different functions and devices of electrical installation, bus technology or name plates together,
in one busbar:
It is integrated in a 30-mm wide joint between the studs
of the partition system. The joint serves as space for the
installation of power supply lines and control lines, which
come out of the ceiling or out of the floor.
This system is also integrated in an LVT aluminium door
frame. The combination Gira ITS 30 in LVT aluminium
door frame with a visible width of 35 mm has been developed especially for glazing systems to hold the small look
of the system.
For the installation of elements of building services, the
busbar has three fixed installation ranges in dif-ferent
heights: 300 mm. 1050 mm and 1500 mm.
Fig. 91
Moreover name plates of the guidance system COM.form
of Mabeg company can be installed on any height of the
busbar.
Gira ITS 30 is suited for installation in front of glass: The
small busbar and LVT aluminium door frame replace the
aluminium blind next to the door frame or between glazings and increase the quantity of glass. This leads to more
transparency in the building.

Static requirements
Excerpt from DIN 4103 - Non-load bearing interior partitions (July 1984)
Installation Area Types
Static Loads
Installation Area Type 1:
- For low numbers of people
- Examples: Flats, hotel rooms, offices, hospital rooms
and other rooms used similarly, including their corridors
Bending limit for load-bearing capacity of the partitions compared with static loading
- Acting horizontal linear load (working load), primarily
static, with points of application 0.9 m above the base of
the partition (Fig. 1).
Installation Area Type 1:
p1 = 0,5 kN/m
Installation Area Type 2:
p2 = 1,0 kN/m
- Light loading by brackets:
Installation Area Type 2:
- For high numbers of people
- Examples: Assembly rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, exhibition and sales rooms and other rooms used similarly
- Partitions between rooms with a difference in the height
of the floors ≥ 1.0 m
Vertical linear load of 0.4 kN/m (Fig. 2)
Resistance of the partitions against impact-like loading (Fig. 3)
Proof:
- Impact of a human body (soft impact)
- Sack of glass beads weighing 50 kg
- Damage to the partition is allowed, but the following conditions have to be met:
The partitions must be pulled out of their fastenings.
Partition elements that might seriously injure people
must not fall off.
The entire thickness of the partitions must not be punctured.
General requirements
Partitions have to:
- Resist static (primarily static) and impact loads, as might
occur when they are used
- Be able to assume loads applied to their surface in addition to their own weight, including any plaster or other
possible facing, and transfer such to other supporting
constructional elements, such as walls and ceilings.
- Transfer light loading by brackets
- In cases of loading by wind power, such as in industrial
buildings with large doors frequently open (supporting
documents 4.2-4.4 of DIN 4103), keep a supporting document for half the dynamic pressure as per DIN 1055,
Part 4.
Partitions can:
- Assume functions for securing against crashing

Technical Data
Movable wall as a nonocoque construction, which can be
installed between the storey ceilings without damaging
the building. This system guarantees a great flexibility in
dismantling and reassembling because of the fact that no
dowelled joint is necessary.
The studs consist of aluminium circular tubes, which are
as high as the room. On the bottom and at the ceiling
there are discs which are able to absorb the deflection of
the ceiling.
The installation of the panels depends on the height of the
parapet and the height of the room. The panels are also
available as sound-absorbent panels.
Sound absorption:
Itemisation for punched metal panel:
Acoustical absorbance according to ISO 11 654
αw = 0,90 with an perforation rate ≥ 30 %
Substructure:
Consisting of folded steel sheet profiled section elements,
galvanised or coated and aluminium circular tubes.
Panelling:
The panels are available for vertical or horizontal division.
The surface of the panels can be real wood veneer, melamine resin, laminated plastic or metal.
Options: covered with textile to use it as a pin board, cork
linoleum, punched or slotted sound- absorbing panel.
Field of application:
Movable wall
Room division
Wall cladding
Other surfaces, hole patterns and perforation rates are
possible, as well as panelling with other products of manufacturers who produce sound absorbing wood panels.
Excellent acoustical absorption in low- and medium-frequency ranges at a thickness of void of only 30 mm.
Static requirements:
For movable walls certificates according to DIN 4103
are necessary. But its impact load at a room height of
3 250 mm has been tested.
