Macedonian dancers go on tour

three musicians and five
committee members will
be representing the
Australian Macedonian
Community at the Skopje
Summer Festival in Skopje,
the Balkan Festival in Ohrid
and the Beer Festival in
Prilep, Macedonia from
1-15 July 2014.

Congratulations
Congratulations to our ‘Creating Happy and Healthy
Families’ facilitator Reeta who received a Rotary
Club, John H. Kerr Community Service Award for
her work helping victims of family violence in the
western suburbs. After winning the award Reeta
said:
“When you believe in something, it’s not
a chore, it’s something that becomes your
nature, something you live by.’’
Volunteer Training

May.

Dance Party to celebrate
Neighbourhood House Week
Antoinette (below) one of the Hub volunteers
leads the dancing at the Neighbourhood House
Week Dance Party event on Friday 16 May.
More than forty people attended from toddlers to
seniors. Due to popular demand, we are planning
to hold further community dance activities each
term. Contact the Hub to register your interest.
Life After Dieting Program
There was a strong response to the ISIS
facilitated Life After Dieting program which was
fully booked. Contact Jeannie on 9296 1265 or

attending the next six week program.

loves going to the theatre,
walking and knitting.
