Group Travel Insurance Plan
As per your request, we enclose the Policy Schedule and Wording for the insurance cover protecting
the JLT (CSI Member benefits) Discretionary (JDT) Benefits.
To assist you when travelling on holidays overseas or interstate destination we have prepared the
following:
What you should know
The period of cover under the Policy only includes leisure travel up to 180 days. If you intend
travelling for more than 180 days you should arrange private cover for the entire period.
Such travel commences from your normal place of residence or place of business located in
Australia and involves an interstate destination or a destination beyond the territorial limits of
Australia of no less than 24 hours. Provided such travel excludes everyday travel to and from
work.
Any accompanying persons travelling separately on the outgoing or incoming journey to directly
join or leave an insured person if applicable would be covered.
Some Important Definitions
INSURED PERSON means an ELIGIBLE FINANCIAL MEMBER including their accompanying
partner and dependent children.
ELIGIBLE FINANCIAL MEMBER means a person who is a financial member of the CFMEU ACT
Branch. This is a member who has paid full current dues. This benefit does not apply to retired
members or life members.
FAMILY means the Insured Person’s spouse/partner/defacto and any unmarried dependent
children, stepchildren or legally adopted children who are living with the Insured Person and who
are under nineteen (19) years of age or under twenty five (25) years of age if they are a full-time
student and primarily dependent on the Insured Person for the maintenance and support.

+61 2 9978 6666. They provide 24 hour, 365 day assistance.
In the Event of an emergency evacuation or situation whilst travelling it is recommended you
contact our authorised security & political assistance company, Dynamiq Assist for advice and
management of the evacuation or situation.

The insurance cover is valid for persons - to age 85 years.
Except as provided by Section 1 – Personal Accident & Section 10 – Life Insurance, where
reduced age limit restrictions & reduced benefits apply. You should refer to the Policy Wording
(PDS/WRD 12-13 tailored, page 3 – Age Limits).

Excesses
$500 each and every claims (applicable to baggage, travellers cheques, travel documents, credit
cards, money, loss of deposits, cancellation costs and hire car excess expenses) except Insured
Persons who have been financial members of the CFMEU for less than six (6) months, excess of
$1,000 will apply each and every claim
If you have concerns whether you are covered for specific events, you should refer to the
enclosed policy document, which contains the schedule of benefits, exclusions and policy
conditions.
Cover within the (JDT) limits is subject to the Trustee’s discretion and is not bound by the
conditions of the insurance policy.
Important Information
It is important to understand that you are only covered for the Group Travel Insurance Plan
cover whilst you are a fully paid financial member of the CFMEU ACT Branch. This benefit does not
apply to retired members or life members.
