'Oman's newest luxury address' - Saraya
Bandar Jissah
Muscat: Saraya Bandar Jissah on last week hosted the
ground‐breaking ceremony for the second major
construction stage of Oman's newest Integrated Tourism
Complex (ITC), located in the heart of the touristic area to
the southeast of Muscat.
The ceremony took place on site under the auspices of His
Highness Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tariq Al Said, Representative of
His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, in the presence of
dignitaries including members of the Omani royal family,
ministers, undersecretaries and business leaders.
Promoted as 'Oman's newest luxury address', the $600
million project is taking shape on site. With a focus on
delivering Oman's most luxurious development the project
will provide two 5 star hotels with 318 rooms, including a
beachfront ballroom for weddings and events,
international cuisine restaurants and sports activities
including a dive centre. The 5 star hotels will be operated
by internationally‐renowned luxury hotels and resorts
operator Jumeirah Group.
QM2 arrives in Muscat on 22nd April.
NTT Cruise‐pro, the Cruise specialist department of NTT
Tours, looks forward to welcoming Queen Mary 2 to
Muscat on 22nd April. ETA 0900 hrs. QM2, one of the
largest luxury cruise liner in the world, carries 2600
passengers and 1200 officers and crew. QM2 is currently

Dolphin Watch:
Dolphins are marine mammals closely related to whales and porpoises.
There are almost forty species of dolphin in 17 genera. They are found
worldwide, mostly in the shallower seas of the continental shelves and are
carnivores, eating mostly fish and squid.
Dolphin shoals visit the shores of Oman in large numbers. Muscat and
Musandam are famous for dolphin watching, although this pastime is also
widespread in A'Sharqiyah South Governorate and AlWasta Governorate, in
addition to Dhofar Governorate. The types of dolphins that visit Oman are:
Indian Ocean Dolphins, the Indo‐Pacific Humpback Dolphins, Risso's
Dolphins, Common Bottlenose Dolphins, Indo‐Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins,
Rough‐toothed Dolphins, Pantropical Spotted Dolphins, Striped Dolphins,
Spinner Dolphins, and Long‐Beaked Common Dolphins.
