The Chain Link fence shown wrapping around the back half of the property is 6'-0" tall. This
fence does not require top-rail protection.The Chain Link fence surrounding the Evaporator and
Propane Tanks is 4'-0" tall. This fence does require 4" diameter yellow corrugated HDPE pipe
secured to the top fence rail.
DRAWING C2.0
Light Duty Concrete (6") shall be placed under the Parking Canopy only. All other concrete shall
be Heavy Duty Concrete (8").
SPECIFICATION SECTION 144600 - CRANES AND HOISTS
Crane span, center-to-center of rail, is 52 feet, 7 inches. The Bridge Crane weight is 9410 lbs..
The Trolley weight is 750 lbs..

SECTION 087100
HARDWARE
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01 WORK INCLUDED
A.
The work to be done under this specification consists of furnishing and delivering to the
General Contractor, at the building, all Finish Hardware.
B.
Hardware for interior and exterior doors, other than specified in specific door sections.
C.
Hardware Consultant shall meet with Owner and develop Hardware Schedule.
1.02 WORK NOT INCLUDED
A.
Rough hardware is not a part of this section of the specifications. General Contractor to furnish
and set all items that are specified or necessary for a complete job, and all hardware specified
in other sections.
B.
Hardware for the following items are not included under this section: Metal windows, metal
screens and access doors.
C.
Installation by General Contractor.
1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A.
This material shall be procured from a source of supply approved by the Owner as competent
to correctly interpret the plans, details and specifications, and be prepared at all times to
promptly and satisfactorily service the hardware on the job. This supplier must be an
established Contract Builders' Hardware firm, who maintains and operates an office, display
room and stock in the State of Texas. This material must be furnished by or under the direct
supervision of an Architectural Hardware Consultant, as certified by the Door and Hardware
Institute, Inc., regularly employed by this supplier, and all bids must be so certified. Bids on this
material will not be acceptable from firms who have not been successfully engaged in selling
and servicing Contract Builders' Hardware for a period of at least five (5) years.
B.
Hardware has been specified herein by manufacturers' name, brand and catalog number for
the purpose of establishing a basis for quality, finish, design and operational function.
C.
If hardware for any particular door is not listed or described, it shall be furnished and shall be as
specified for similar locations.
D.
Quantities shall be determined by the bidder.
1.04 FIRE RATED DOORS
A.
Comply with requirements of NFPA 80 and Life Safety Code NFPA 101.
B.
Provide hardware which has been tested, listed and bears UL Label.
1.05 SUBMITTALS
A.
Submit to the Owner five (5) complete typewritten copies of the hardware schedule for
approval. The schedule shall be prepared using the "Sequence and Format" for the Hardware
Schedule as recommended by the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI).
B.
Schedule shall follow requirements of Specifications and shall indicate types, manufacturer's
name and number location and finish of each item required.
C.
Submit such samples as required by the Owner for approval. Do not deliver hardware until
approval is obtained.
D.
Approval of schedule will not relieve Contractor of responsibility for furnishing all necessary
hardware.
E.
Templates: Provide necessary templates and/or physical hardware to all trades requiring them
in order that they may cut, reinforce or otherwise prepare their material or protect to receive the
hardware item.

1.06 COORDINATION
A.
During required meeting with Owner, coordinate hardware with Owner's Access Control
system.
1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
A.
All items of hardware to be delivered to the job site shall be completely packaged with all
necessary screws, bolts, miscellaneous parts, instructions and where necessary installation
templates for manufacturers' suggested installation. They are to be clearly labeled so as to
conveniently identify them and their intended location in the building.
B.
Store in secure lock up. Control both before and during installation.
C.
Protect original finish and texture of all finish hardware items, both installed and
not-yet-installed. Follow respective hardware manufacturer's instruction; use protective
materials and methods recommended by manufacturer.
1.08 WARRANTY
A.
The finish hardware shall carry a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and
operation for a period of one year from date of acceptance. No liability is to be assumed where
damage or faulty operation is due to abuse, improper usage, improper installation or failure to
exercise normal maintenance.
1. Locks shall have a one year limited warranty.
2. Door Closers shall have a ten year limited warranty.
3. Exit Devices have a three year limited warranty.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.01 HARDWARE
A.
Substitutions: Request for substitutions of items of hardware shall be made to the Owner no
later than ten days prior to bid opening. Approval of substitutions will only be in writing or by
addendum. Request for substitutions shall be accompanied by samples and or detailed
information as to the manufacturer of the product.
B. Items specified "NO SUBSTITUTIONS" shall be provided exactly as listed in this Specification.
2.02 FINISH
A.
All hardware throughout shall be Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Door Closers stock painted to
match.
2.03 KEYING
A.
All locks & cylinders two keys each, keyed alike or keyed

B.
Supply two (2) keys for each Cylinder.
C.
Supply Six (6) Master keys.

PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSPECTION:
A.
Examine hardware prior to installation; verify that delivered hardware matches quantity, type,
finish, etc., as that shown on final Hardware Schedule. Notify Owner and hardware supplier, in
writing, of discrepancies, shortages and incorrect hardware items.
B.
Provide or replace shortages and incorrect hardware with proper hardware as scheduled on
final Hardware Schedule, at no cost to Owner.
3.02 INSTALLATION:
A.
Mount hardware at height recommended by NBHA "Recommended Location for Builders'
Hardware", except as otherwise specifically indicated or required to comply with requirements
of governing authorities having jurisdiction at project site as directed.
B.
Install all hardware in compliance with manufacturer's instruction requirements.
C.
Set hardware level, plumb and true to line and location required. Adjust and reinforce
attachment substrate as necessary for proper installation and operation.
D.
Attach hardware securely in final position.
1. Attach exit devices, closers and holders to doors with through bolts and grommet nuts.
E.
Cut and fit thresholds to profile of door frames.
3.03 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING:
A.
Check and adjust each operating item of hardware to operate freely and easily, to ensure
proper operation and function of each unit.
1. Lubricate moving parts with type lubricant recommended by manufacturer, if required by
manufacturer.
2. Replace units which cannot be adjusted and lubricated to operate freely and smoothly as
intended for application made, at no cost to Owner.
B.
Clean each hardware item as necessary to restore original factory finish and surface texture, as
recommended by manufacturer. Replace units which cannot be satisfactorily cleaned to restore
factory finish and texture, at no cost to owner.

1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A.
Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
B.
Store ladder until installation inside under cover. If stored outside, under a tarp or suitable cover.
1.05 WARRANTY
A.
Limited Warranty: Five years against defective material and workmanship, covering parts only,
no labor or freight. Defective parts, if deemed so by the manufacturer, will be replaced at no
charge, freight excluded, upon inspection at manufacturer's plant which warrants same.

2.02 ALUMINUM ALTERNATING TREAD LADDER
A.
Aluminum Alternating Tread Ladder and Components: Ladder, mounting brackets and
handrails on both sides.
1. Model: Model AT Aluminum Alternating Tread Ladder as manufactured by Precision
Ladders, LLC.
2. Capacity: Unit shall support a 1000 lb (227 kg) total load without failure.
3. Ladder Side Stringers: 3 inch by 2 inch by 1/8 inch (76 mm by 51 mm by 3 mm) extruded
6005-T5 aluminum tubing. Pitch: 68 degrees.
4. Ladder Center Stringer: 10 inch by 1/4 inch (254 mm by 6 mm) extruded 6005-T5
aluminum flat bar. Note: Neoprene trim adhered to front edge of center stringer to protect
climber.
5. Ladder Treads: 1 inch deep aluminum Bar Grating
6. Ladder Mounting Brackets:
a. Floor Bracket: 2 inch by 3 inch by 1/4 inch (51 mm by 76 mm by 6 mm) aluminum
angle.

2.03 FABRICATION
A.
Completely fabricate ladder ready for installation before shipment to the site.
B.
Completely fabricate handrail components ready for field assembly to ladder before shipment to
site.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory
preparation before proceeding.
B.
Examine materials upon arrival at site. Notify the carrier and manufacturer of any damage.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A.
Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
3.03 PROTECTION
A.
Protect installed products until completion of project.
B.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
