PRODUCT:
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) As is always the case, it is the
responsibility of the operator to load tank so as to comply
with Federal and State highway limits.
DESIGNED FOR:
A cab and chassis with 156” cab to axle dimensions and
properly rated front and rear axles. (Note: Tires, springs,
axle and frame must meet these minimums.)
COMPARTMENTS:
Single 4000 Gallons
MATERIALS:
304-2B Passivated stainless steel. Tank is constructed with
a continuously welded 7- gauge stainless sub-frame and
complete 10-gauge stainless shell including 10-gauge heads
and when baffles are required the baffles are 10-gauge also.
All interior and exterior welds are cleaned and polished.
MOUNTING SYSTEM:
Tank is anchored to the truck chassis by a series of specially
designed two-piece tie down assemblies. The two halves of
the tie down are locked together in such a way that both side
to side and front to back movement are prevented, while
securing the tank to the chassis.
A maintenance-free 4” wide plastic running board cushions
and insulates the tank from the truck chassis.

HEADS:
Tank is round in shape with deep dished heads and baffles
for superior surge control. All heads and baffles are flanged
for greater strength. Head patterns of our own special
selection result in low center of gravity. All heads and
baffles are formed to precise dimensions resulting in a shell
of extraordinary smoothness and strength.
BAFFLES:
If the compartment is large enough for baffles to be required
then these are included as standard equipment.
There are (3) transverse baffles in this tank.
SPILL DAM:
64” x 28” 12-gauge stainless steel flashing with 1-1/2” drains
on each side.
MANHOLES:
Premium grade 16” round stainless, lift-out type with 10”
quick opening lockable fill. (2) Additional pressure/vacuum
vent(s) are provided.
MODEL SST6RI:
This model tank is a round insulated transport rear head
design, which allows for equipment to be mounted in a side
cabinet. Tank features 3” fiberglass insulation with a 22gauge 304 stainless jacket.
DRAIN TUBES:
(2) Drain tubes are provided from the flashing area at the
rear of the tank to assure that no water accumulates on top
of the tank.
BUMPER:
A heavy-duty aluminum clad bumper protects rear of tank.
CABINETS:
92” Aluminum cabinet to be equipped with fiberglass
insulation, lip and 1/2” floor drain valve. Doors are
reinforced, have positive close pin latches with recessed D
handles, continuous stainless steel hinges and hold open
springs.
HEATER SYSTEM:
Designed to heat filter, meter, and reel mounted inside
cabinet. System includes 12 Volt electric heater with
thermostat, relay to shut off heater when truck shuts down,
power converter to allow plug-in to 115 Volt outlet, and a set
of junction boxes/cables/fuses, etc. A master switch with
operational warning lamp mounted inside the cabinet is
included.

PIPING:
Piping includes 3” bolted stainless sumps, 3” stainless airoperated emergency valves and 2” stainless pipe lines.
Lines are run directly to the pump.
SUCTION PIPING:
(1) 2” Line is piped to the curb side for pumping product from
an external source using the truck mounted pump. This line
terminates in 2” OPW male dry break adapter.
EMERGENCY VALVE:
All emergency valves are air operated.
INSULATED PIPING:
Full 2” thick pipe insulation with aluminum cover installed
over tank sumps and all exposed piping.
HEATER SYSTEM:
Designed to heat non-jacketed DEF pump, emergency
valves, and all exposed piping. System includes low voltage
heat tape for piping and pump, relay to shut off heat when
truck shuts down, power converter to allow plug-in to 115
Volt outlet, and a set of junction boxes/cables/fuses, etc. A
master switch with operational warning lamp mounted inside
the cabinet is included.
FENDERS:
Bolt-on aluminum trim tandem axle fenders are provided.
LADDER:
Stainless steel ladder extending up center of rear head from
bumper to flashing area. Ladder is constructed with nonskid steps and guard rails for safe access to tank top.
Ladder is bolt on for ease of repair.
WIRING/LIGHTING:
All wiring in tubing is vapor proof. Lighting complies with
ICC/D.O.T. regulations and includes: (2) 5” stop and tail, (2)
5” clearance and directional, (2) back-up lights and (1) 3lamp cluster. There are four side riding lights and all
necessary reflectors are included. All lights are Betts LED
type with snap seal lenses.
SYSTEM
IDENTIFICATION:
Switch panels and airline protection are color coordinated
to facilitate system identification and troubleshooting.
DECALING:
Custom decaling is available as an option.
Tank, all labor to mount, and make electrical connections is included.

PUMPING EQUIPMENT
Pumping equipment is Weights and Measures approved and all wetted materials meet
ISO 22241-3 standards.
SYSTEM:
DEF 6580 Insulated Cabinet – Hydraulic
PUMP:
Stainless steel, self-priming centrifugal pump.
PUMP BRACKET:
Heavy duty saddle type.
FILTER:
304 Stainless steel cartridge filter housing with 1-micron
absolute filter elements.
METER:
Stainless steel turbine flow meter supplied complete with
pulse amplifier, air elimination, LCRII electronic register,
security valve and presets for 55-gallons, 275-gallons and
330-gallons.
TICKET PRINTER:
Electronic slip type ticket printer mounted on pedestal in
cab.
HOSE REEL BYPASS:
2” Stainless legal product directional valves located between
the meter and reel for high speed pump-off or loading the
tank through the emergency valve.
HOSE REEL:
1-1/2” Electric rewind aluminum reel with stainless steel
wetted components.
BATTERY CABLE:
Industrial grade for electric hose reel.
CIRCUIT BREAKER:
70 Amp breaker with 9 amp fuse for protection of reel switch
and motor.
FUEL HOSE:
50’ x 1-1/2” DEF hose with stainless steel pipe fittings.
NOZZLE:
1-1/2” Stainless steel ball valve with 1-1/2” stainless male
adapter and poly dust cap.
POWER TAKE OFF:
High speed, double gear clutch shift with air controls in side
and safety light located in cab.
BRAKE LOCK:
Automatic PTO release type.
