Updates from USAID Trip – April 27-May 5, 2014 Dr. Adolfo Rocha traveled to Peru this spring to provide Ponseti Method training. Dr. Rocha trained healthcare practitioners at Hospital del Niño in Lima and Hospital Infantil Alianza Holandesa in Arequipa. Dr. Rocha took advantage of the presence of the local doctors to review basic principles, treatment steps, and tips to use during manipulations and castings. Dr. Rocha also evaluated progress of the clubfoot project at these hospitals. It is evident that this is a country with a high percentage of clubfoot cases and a number of them have associated pathologies/syndromes.
