PREVENTION OF DEFACEMENT OF PROPERTY (AMENDMENT)
ACT 2014
AN ACT
TO AMEND THE JHARKHAND PREVENTION OF DEFACEMENT OF PROPERTY ACT. 1987
Be it enacted by thl Legislature of the State of Jharkhand in the Sixty Five year of the Republic of India
as follows:1. Short title, extent and commencement : (1) This Act may be called the Jhafkhand prevention of
defacement10f property (Amendment) Act 2014
2. It shall exte~d to the whole of the State Jharkhand.
3. It shall comb into force at once,

(3) shall be added after sub·section (2) of the section.) of the s~id Act :~
3. "The oW1er or the occupier of a private property, after giving written consent, may permit, any
person or persons, contesting an election, to which The Representation of The People
Act.119S I is applicable. either as an independent candidate or on the symbol of a
recognized political party, to use his private property for the purpose of election
cam~ai8n during t~e period notified by the Election Commission for the completion of
the Jrocess of that election.
