Accreditation Requirements – Trainers and Assessors BQA.DQA.AD.P02.A01 Issue No: 01 What to submit Completed applications form CV and Certified copies of certificates and transcripts References from at least TWO referees (see template provided) Eligibility for Registration a) Satisfactorily trained as a trainer Have a vocational qualification at least a level higher the one you wish to facilitate on Teaching qualification for those in institutions Training qualification for workplace trainers OR Demonstration of vocational area competence at least one level higher than the one you wish to facilitate Demonstration of the core competences of teaching/training. b) Be of good character Should not have been convicted of a criminal offence Types of Registration and Requirements Provisional Registration Less than two years training experience in Botswana in the last five years prior to commencement of registration Those with the qualifications/competence stated on slide number 3 but with no teaching experience may apply. Cannot be held for more than THREE years. Full Registration Minimum of TWO years training experience in Botswana in the last five years Demonstration of the ability to train in standards/competency based mode Demonstration of the core competencies of teaching/training in specific vocational area as expressed in the practice standards.
