WITSA Chairman Santiago Gutierrez was re-elected for the new 2014-16 term while Mr. Roger Latchman of the IT Association of South Africa was elected Deputy Chairman. Mr. Latchman had previously served as WITSA Vice Chairman for Africa. Eng. Tarek A. Monem Taha of the Egyptian Information Technology, Electronics and Software Alliance (EITESAL) was elected Treasurer of the organization for the new two-year term. The Alliance also voted and elected new regional Vice Chairmen for Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and the Caribbean as well as Chairmen for WITSA's key standing committees: The Global Policy Action Committee, Global Trade Committee, Finance and Compensation Committee and Audit Committee. A total of 27 new Directors were elected by members at the General Assembly.
