1. MINUTES
Request is made for approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees held
on August 26, 2014.

2. ACADEMIC SENATE RECOMMENDATIONS—CURRICULUM
Request is made for approval of the following curriculum changes, as recommended by the
Academic Senate and the President:
1. Change in Degree Requirements:
a. Overhead Electric Line Worker Certificate
Previously approved changes to the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Degree
program make a change to this certificate program necessary, as courses are shared
within the programs.

ECMN 121 Residential Construction Wiring and ECMN 122 Commercial
Construction Wiring: Change in credit and contact hours from 2-6-5 to 0-8-4.
ECMN 130 Safety and Labor Relations has seen a significant revision in content and
is now entitled ECMN 135 Workplace Safety
A new course, ECMN 140 Labor Relations has been added to the curriculum as an
accompaniment to ECMN 135.
Title change for ECMN 101 from Direct Current Theory and Magnetism to Direct
Current Theory

RENOVATIONS
Request is made for approval of the award of contract in the amount of $343,000 to Niram, Inc.
for the capital project entitled “Science Center and Related Building Renovations.”
