Elecon EPC Overview
Elecon EPC Projects Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Elecon Engineering Company
Limited, a company formed to manage the core material handling equipment product range
and engineering expertise, that were collectively demerged from Elecon Engineering
Company Limited, Prayas Engineering Limited and EMTICI Engineering Ltd. in 2012.
Elecon EPC Projects Ltd. so formed, is today, the 3rd largest Material Handling Equipment
company in India with in-house design, manufacturing, fabrication, component
manufacturing and support services in a vertically integrated model.
Elecon Engineering was the first company in India to have manufactured sophisticated
equipment for Bulk Material Handling and have their products and solutions delopyed in
almost every industrial sector in India.

MINING INDUSTRY
Elecon provides custom engineered solutions for movement and storage of bulk materials
in the Mining and Metallurgy industry.
Typical applications are the movement and storage of bulk materials using modular
designs in conveyors. Elecon offers an extensive range of rail mounted Single or Twin
Boom Stackers, Portal and Bridge type Scraper Reclaimers for longitudinal and circular
storage systems for handling iron ore, coal, minerals or coke in mining and metallurgy
projects.

COMPANY DETAILS
The Industrial visit was organized by Parul Institute of Management and Research for Marketing
students of 3rd semester.
Students left college at 7:30a.m. and reached there at 9:15 a.m. at Elecon campus.There
were 50 students and 2 faculties guided the group. Students took snacks there and the group was
divided in to two groups. One group went for a plant visit and another group was taken by Mr. Ankit
Soni (HR Manager – Elecon EPC Pvt. Ltd.) for discussion about Elecon history and products of
elecon.
Afterwards the other group joined the interactive session and the second group went for
the plant visit. During the plant visit students were shown fabrication plant; Plant for painting the
machines, CNC machines, Robot machine, Industrial cutter, Conveyers, Lathe machines and
Horizontal boring machine.
The interactive session with Mr. Ankit Soni was very fruitful as he talked about the
following things.

Elecon EPC offers service and support for bulk material handling equipment for industries
in Mining, Cement, Power Generation, Fertilizer and Ports, among others.
The Elecon Customer Service Division (CSD) was first setup in 1973 and was subsequently
re-structured in the year 2000, with presence in five zones across India, to exclusively cater
to Elecon customers' spares and service needs that were critical for smooth operation of
large material handling equipment.
We are proud of the fact that Elecon Engineering was probably the first company then, to
have a special customer care division in the bulk material handling equipment business.
The present existence of a large number of our Wagon Tipplers, Stacker Reclaimers,
Crushers, among other equipment, in good running condition after decades of service is
testimony to the stupendous service performance rendered by Elecon’s CSD.
Elecon EPC's CSD is the driving force behind our profitability and the back bone of our
customer relations policy. Our customers expect us not just to repair machines but also be
able to provide the cause and analysis of failures and provide optimal, economical solutions
for their needs. We leverage our technical expertise and experience to drive value into any
repair, overhaul or modernization plan.
Support Infrastructure & Engineers:
The CSD has offices in each zone across India, East, West, Central, South and North zones.
A network of more than 50 trained and experienced service engineers are available for
proactive support.
Fully supported with engineering expertise from regional Elecon EPC offices.
A dedicated Customer Care manufacturing facility catering to spares for material handling
solutions for closer engineering support and better delivery timelines.
