COMMENTS
Highveld Stud is very pleased with our first
offering to the marketplace of Australian White Stud
Ewe lambs!
These ewe lambs have grown out exceptionally well,
despite the season, as catalogue weights confirm!
Shedding is markedly improved over the drop; a
consequence of using highly inheritable Sires for this
trait.
We are especially pleased that shedding is occurring
earlier.
Especially pleasing is that the lambs have not grown
out fat, yet weights are considerably up* (*on an
weight for age basis)
Legs and feet are especially strong in this drop – a
consideration we wish to strongly re-enforce in our
breeding programme, going forward.
These lambs are born from synchronised natural
joinings (6 week interval between lambs; first to last
born), and so we are especially pleased with the
uniformity & closeness in type and growth rates that
have been achieved.
