Diamond Like Carbon coating on Germanium from 8-12µm

Application
This is an extremely rugged and abrasion resistant anti reflection coating for use in the 8-12µm waveband. These
properties make it ideal for external surface applications where extreme environmental conditions will be encountered.
It is normally used in conjunction with a high efficiency anti-reflection coating (UCS_GE_01) on the second surface.
Transmission
For a 1mm thick witness piece, coated one side UCS_GE_41 and
one side UCS_GE_01 high efficiency AR coating at 0o-20o AOI
T > 89.0% average from 8-12µm
Reflection
Per surface, from a single side coated 1mm thick witness piece,
coated with UCS_GE_41
R < 3.0% from 8-12µm
