The ICG eRouter product series provides scalable data and voice routing services designed for aircraft applications.
The eRouter offers many features found in a typical corporate office networks. Designed specifically to meet aviation
standards and requirements, the eRouter provides routing capabilities for cabin connectivity for IP devices as well as
EFBs and POS Credit Card machines. The ERT-100 baseline product performs data routing functions while the ERT-120
provides enhanced features such as data transfer improvements using acceleration and compression software. The
eRouter’s scalability provides the ERT-140 with multiple telephony interfaces including: CEPT-E1, ISDN, SIP and analog,
maximizing both voice and data capabilities by building on the ERT-120 advanced router features.
Once connected, users will have network access to each other (peer-to-peer) and Internet/Intranet access via Wi-Fi. The
ERT-120 and ERT-140 also support ICG’s AeroChat SIP Voice and text mobile application for handheld personal devices.
The eRouter series of products are small flange mount devices that provide wired or wireless Ethernet connectivity on
the aircraft. It provides access for multiple LAN clients, as well as WAN connectivity to multiple communications
networks such as GSM, Inmarsat SBB, Ka/Ku VSAT, Iridium or other networks.
The router’s Wi-Fi can be configured as a wireless Access Point (AP) for
onboard user access. The eRouter can also be configured as a client to
provide connectivity to ground based wireless networks while at the gate. In
addition to Wi-Fi connectivity the eRouter offers 3G/4G GSM cellular service
that can be used for Internet access and file transfers when the aircraft is
on the ground. The eRouter also supports non flight critical cabin crew, flight
deck and aircraft system data communication requirements.
