ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS
Education Language of the engineering departments is English.
Education Language of the Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics departments is Turkish.
The minimum requirements for an application to the graduate programs are given in the
Graduate Studies Instruction Letter and summarized as follows:
The minimum requirements for an application to the Master degree programs are as
follows:
 An applicant should have an undergraduate diploma.
 Applicants must complete their previous degree programs by the admission period at the
latest.
 Required degrees for graduate program applications are listed below:
Engineering Departments
Graduates of engineering departments, architectural
engineering and likewise.
Food Engineering Department
Graduates of Faculty of Science, department of Chemistry
and Biology can also applied.

Graduates of Faculty of Science, department of Physics

Graduates of Faculty of Science, department of Biology.
Mathematics Department

Mathematics or engineering mathematics.

NOTE: If you have an undergraduate diploma but your department is not listed in the above
table, please submit your transcript then our graduate committee will review your application
for the corresponding program.

English Proficiency Exam: (Applicants to the Engineering departments for MSc program) If you
earned a bachelor's degree in a country where, English is not the official language or, English is
not your first language or Education or teaching language of your undergraduate program is not
English,
you must submit any of the following test results with the minimum scores for engineering

Turkish Proficiency Exam: If your first Language is not Turkish, you must submit a TÖMER test
result with minimum score 60 for attending Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry Departments.
Enrolling more than one graduate program at the same time is not possible.
Graduation requirements for Master Programs:
 Master students must take seven courses, one seminar and a master thesis.
 GPA of master courses must be at least 2.50/4.00 in order to graduate.
 Each master student must publish a conference paper or submit a journal article or work in a
research project (TUBITAK, SANTEZ, DPT, vd.) to be eligible for thesis defense.
 Completed thesis must be bound and submitted to the institute secretariat in a month.
Doctorate degree program applicants
The minimum requirements for an application to the Doctorate programs are as follows:
An applicant should have an undergraduate diploma (A minimum graduation CGPA of 3.00/4.00
or 80/100 is required) or graduate diploma in order to be admitted to a doctorate program.
Applicants must complete their previous degree programs by the admission period at the latest.

 PhD students must take seven courses and a PhD thesis.
 GPA of PhD courses must be at least 3.00/4.00 in order to graduate.
 PhD students must pass PhD qualification exam after completing all courses.
 Each PhD student must publish a SCI/SCI-expanded journal paper or work in a research
project (TUBITAK, SANTEZ, DPT, vd.) to be eligible for thesis defense.
 Completed thesis must be bound and submitted to the institute secretariat in a month.
Application Procedure
Gaziantep University uses an on-line application to facilitate application processing and ease of
use. Applicant’s prints the completed application form then, either can submit their application
documents, stated in the other required items, in person, or can send via post or via e mail. The
on-line application is present in APPLICATION PAGE.
Documents Required for Admission to Graduate Programs
1. Completed application form.
2. A certified photocopy of the candidate’s diploma or a letter certifying graduation
3. Transcripts (Academic Records): Sealed and taken from Student Affairs of the applicant's
university indicating the courses and grades taken.
4. English Proficiency Exam: You submit any of the international test results. (if you have)
5. Turkish Proficiency Exam: You must submit Turkish test result with minimum score 60 for
attending Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics Departments. (if you have)
Important Notes:
Periods for application are announced in Academic Calendar. Applications should be submitted
to the Registrar's Office during the period specified in the Academic Calendar.

Living Expenses is about 3500 USD-4500 USD for 9 months (Single on Campus)
