Strategic Programme for the WP: 60% sustainability
PPPs, JTIs, JPs: 60% of the ICT Budget 2014-2020
One WP, One PC with variable geometry
WP less descriptive in technology terms
Synergy and complementarity
Pilot Lines, Competence centers, SME Instruments, ODI, Fast Track
Innovation, Equity and Debt Instruments
No pre-proposal checks (only on scope)
Some simplifications increase the complexity in the implementation
No negotiation (what instead of it), only „minor changes” can be
requested by the PO-s from the benificiaries
Financial feasibility check: only coordinator
Advanced payment decreasing (DG CNECT: 33%)
Advanced payments
• Simplification 2 reporting period, in principle with
50% advanced payment,
• Less payment credit than comitment credits from the
MSs at the DG CNECT,
• Advanced payments general rules: 50% for 2 periods,
33% for 3 periods, 25% for 4 periods,
• DG CNECT: for two period can offer only 33%
advanced payment. With 33% of 3 reporting periods
the first year can be covered – with more
administration/reporting.

Other experiences
• It is not enough to be good, you have to be very good;
• Take part on the specific infodays, national bodies should find
funding solutions for travel;
• Use out-of-scope pre-proposal check for contacting the PO-s
and consult on your idea,
• More attention on formalities, does not mean you can forget
the content,
• Pay attention to the impact and implementation criteria,
• Learn from MSs’ expoeriences: CZ funds centers from SF, if
they won EU projects’ funding, DE discussing with Landers on
the synergy with SF;
• Do not be happy if your proposal is on the Reserve List, it is
better to prepare for the future (EC financial engineering…)
