English Everywhere
A unique part of the FLS core program, English Everywhere centers around the Hot Sheet, a quick reference for all
the key vocabulary, idioms, and structure covered in the classroom that week. Each Hot Sheet focuses on a different theme,
with conversation starters, songs and movies that explore the
theme in greater detail. The Hot Sheets are more than just a
reference for students. They’re utilized by the entire FLS staff to
engage students in conversations that include the key language
points of the week. From our instructors to our homestay
families to our tour chaperones, everyone involved is helping the
students learn.
Each Hot Sheet is accompanied
by audio and visual materials that
complement the weekly theme.
Students in all 9 levels of study benefit
from using the weekly Hot Sheet.

Outstanding Academic Programs
The Immersion Method
At FLS, you will meet students from all over the world and develop your new language skills
together. Students begin improving their English from their first day of the program. Instruction is supplemented by role-playing, pair-work, group discussion and pronunciation exercises.
Because our curriculum emphasizes oral English, you will quickly find your confidence and
comprehension increasing!
Small Class Sizes
Our class sizes are small to increase individual attention and student-teacher interaction. The maximum class size is 15, with most classes averaging 12 students or fewer. This enables your teacher to
monitor your English progress closely throughout the term.
Helpful Academic Workshops
Our daily workshops provide concentrated, self-contained lessons on specific aspects of English,
such as pronunciation, vocabulary development, and conversation, and allow students to develop
their ability through songs or discussions of current affairs. Unlike the ‘language labs’ offered at
some schools, our workshops are all teacher-led by qualified instructors.
Varied Elective Classes
FLS offers a wide range of elective classes which focus on specific English skills or topics. Each elective class includes 6 lessons per week and use of the textbook. Every eight weeks, you’ll be able to
take a new elective and explore new areas of knowledge. FLS continues to introduce innovative
new electives, such as English Through Film and Introduction to Literature to challenge and engage
students.
Academic Track Programs and Counseling Services
Your FLS counselor will help you stay on track for college entrance by meeting with you to plan
your progress through our levels, select the most appropriate electives, take advantage of the
academic environment and prepare your application materials in time.
