ELIGIBILITY CRITERION FOR ADMISSIONS TO VARIOUS COURSES:

BACHELOR OF ARTS/SCIENCE/COMMERCE COURSE: FYBA/FYBSc./FYBCOM
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year degree course leading to the Bachelor of
Arts/Science/Commerce must have passed the H.S.C. (Std.XII) examination conduc ted by the different
Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with vocational
subjects/minimum competency based vocational course conducted by the different Divisional Boards of
the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary a nd Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed and examination of another University or Body recognized as equivalent to Higher
Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination.
BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES COURSE: FYBMS (O.3941)
“A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Management Studies Degree Course
shall have passed HSC Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its
equivalent examination or Diploma course in any Engineering Branches with two years or three years
after S.S.C. conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent
examination by securing minimum 45% for general category ( IN ONE ATTEMPT ) at the respective
Examination and 40% marks for the reserved category (IN ONE ATTEMPT).”
BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (ACCOUNTING & FINANCE) COURSE : FYBAF CLASS (0.5204)
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance)
Degree Course shall have passed XII Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary
Education or its equivalent examination and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate AT FIRST
ATTEMPT (40% in case of reserved category).

a. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Insurance)
degree course should have passed XII std. Examin ation of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary
and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in
aggregate (40% in the case of reserved category candidates) at ONE AND THE SAME SITTING.
b. Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the affiliated colleges conducting the course shall
have to register enroll himself/herself with the University.
BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (FINANCIAL MARKETS) COURSE: FYBFM (O.5693):
a. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets)
Degree Course shall have passed XII Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary
Education or its equivalent examin ation and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at (40% in
case of reserved category) ONE AND THE SAME SITTING.
Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent/affiliated college/recognized
institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himsel f/herself with the University.

A. ADMISSIONS TO THE FIRST YEAR CLASSES IN B.A., B.Sc., B. COM., B.M.S., B.A.F., B.F.M. B.B.I and B.M.M. AT
SVKM’S MITHIBAI COLLEGE WILL BE THROUGH ONLINE SYSTEM. THE DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW at “E”.
B. FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE PASSED THEIR QUALIFYING EXAMINATION FROM ANY BOARD IN INDIA OTHER
THAN MAHARASHTRA STATE BOARD and students who have passed the Diploma (in Engineering) must apply
for PROVISIONAL STATEMENT OF ELIGIBILITY (separate for every course) to any of the college affiliated to
University of Mumbai PREFERABLY before they submit the application form for admission to the First Year
Courses i.e. FY.B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com./ BMS/BFM/BAF /BBI and BMM but not later than the date of securing
admission if your name appears in the merit list.
FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE PASSED THEIR QUALIFYING EXAMINATION FROM IB/ ANY OTHER FOREIGN
BOARD are required to apply directly TO THE ELIGIBILITY SECTION OF UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI for the
PROVISIONAL STATEMENT OF ELIGIBILITY PREFERABLY before they submit the application form for admissi on
to the First Year Courses i.e. FY.B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com./ BMS/BFM/BAF /BBI and BMM but not later than the

D. The admission procedure is basically divided into two Parts AS STATED BELOW, viz.

(ii) ONLINE ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM AT THE COLLEGE WEBSITE (REFER ADMISSION NOTICE NO.5 & 6)
E. Schedule for submission of the filled in forms, display of merit lists will be displayed on ADMISSION NOTICE NO. 7.
G. Students will be required to pay Rs. 100/ - as application fees at the Counter near the College entrance, if the
application fee is not paid using on-line payment gateway.

Please go through the prospectus of the college to know about the courses and/or subject combination(s)
offered by the college, rules, regulations etc. before you fill the PRE -ADMISSION ONLINE ENROLMENT
FORM.
One form can be used to apply for multiple courses i.e. more than one course and multiple colleges for
every course i.e. the applicant can fill one form to opt for more than one course like B.Com., B.M.S., B.A.F.
etc. in more than one college for every course .
Applicants are requested to ke ep the following ready before they start filling the forms
a. Photocopy of the mark-sheet of the SSC / X Std and HSC / XII Std. of its equivalent examinations
b. Scanned copy of the Photograph of max. 80 x 107 pixels size and max. file size of 10 KB
c. Scanned copy of the Signature of max. 80 x 35 pixels size and max. file size of 10 KB.
d. Photocopy of any other certificate/s as required.
e. Valid e -mail id and mobile phone number for receiving mails and SMS from the University of Mumbai
regarding the status of the application form.
f. Internet Connection with Internet Explorer ver.7.0 or higher.
Now log on to the University of Mumbai website http://mum.digitaluniversity.ac . Click on the link “ Pre
Admission Online Registration” (available on the row below University of Mumbai on the home page).
The first screen seeks confirmation from the applicant that he has all the necessary documents ready. On
confirmation, the applicant moves to the second screen. Click on “ Proceed” button.
The next screen i.e. the third screen , is the registration page where the candidate is required to enter The
applicants name as it appears in the mark sheet of HSC (or Its equivalent) examination, Gender, date of birth
of the applicant and the Mobile Number and email -id on which the candidate wishes to receive
communications from the University. Click on “ Register” after ensuring that the information provided is
correct and true.
The student will get a login id and four digit alpha-numeric codes on submission of the form.
The student shall get a confirmation from M.K.C.L. on the mobile number and mail on the e-mail id provided
by the student about the acceptance of the form.
The applicant will be required to verify his/her registration and then change the password.
The applicant will log to the website and start filling the form by uploading his photograph and signature
and enter the personal details, contact details and educational qualifications.
The applicant is required to take a printout of the e-Suvidha Kit and enter the confirmation code in the
system and select and upload the documents he/her wishes to upload based on the requirement.
The applicant selects the college/s and course/s offered by the college/s. Applicant can opt for more than
one college and/or one or more than one courses offered by the colleges from amongst the colleges
selected and after verification submit the form. Once the form is submitted the student will NOT be able to
make any correction in the form.
Print the e -Suvidha ticket and note the Application Number generated and printed on the e-Suvidha ticket.
The Application number will be generated only after printing the e -Suvidha ticket.
Enter the application number generated on the e-Suvidha ticket on your application form and complete the
process.
The student is then required to take the hardcopy of the uploaded “Pre Admission Online Form” and submit
the copy of the form to college/s, which he has opted for. The student is required to submit TWO COPIES of
the “College Copy” to the college concerned. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APPLICAT ION FORM WILL BE PRINTED
SEPARATELY FOR EVERY COLLEGE AND FOR EVERY COURSE OPTED BY THE STUDENT.

The ONLINE ADMISSION PROCESS at Mithibai College is in addition to the Pre -admission Registration
Process of University of Mumbai.
Applicants can fill the on-line form from his/her residence or cyber café or any other location where
computer, internet and printer facilities are available.
Applicants are requir ed to fill separate form for each category under which he/she wishes to apply i.e. if a
candidate belonging to Gujarati Speaking Linguistic Minority wishes to apply under Gujarati as well as Open
Category, he/she will have to submit two separate application forms one for Gujar ati Speaking Linguistic
Minority Category and other for Open Category.

admission to FYBA-2014/FYBSc.-2014/FYBCOM-2014/FYBMS – 2014 / FYBAF-2014 / FYBFM-2014 /FYBBI2014/FYBMM-2014. (as the case may be) and you will be directed to the portal mentioned below
or directly to the Portal http://svkmepndbci.svk m.ac.in:50000/irj/portal
b. Flow of the form filling process:
I. On executi on of step a, you will be taken to a separate portal to fill the form. Click on
Register Now.
II. You will be required to register yourself by creating and entering the User id (of your choice) and a
password (minimum 5 lettered password with atleast one alpha numeric ch aracter) which will be
used for futur e logins to the system. Applicant has to enter the user id, his/her name, and
password and reconfirm the pass word. Select/Click the -“Proceed with registration ” button.
Confirm the Registration. Log out of the system.
III. Log into the system again using the User -id and the Password that you have created above. This
will launch the online applic ation system form. (I n case you have forgotten your User Id and
Password kindly check your email which you have provided while registering).
The applicant will be re quired to select the college, the course that he/she wants to apply for the
academic year as 2014. Select/Click the “ Apply” button. Your browser may ask you to allow
blocked Pop-Ups or to run active contents. Please choose Allowed Blocked Contents / Popup.
IV. The screen will now display the admission form.
V. The admission form consists of 7 screens
1. INSTRUCTIONS TO FILL THE ONLINE FORM :Please read the instructions very care fully before you
proceed with filling the form online.
2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : The applicant is required to select the , the course that he/she wishes to
apply for and the marks obtained at the HSC or its equivalent examinations, Stream offered
at HSC (Arts/ Science / Commerce etc.) Category applied under, MKCL registration number
(which is one of the mandatory data required ), whether you have passed the HSC /
Equivalent examination in ONE attempt etc. MARKS: PLEASE ENTER THE MARKS OBTAINED IN
ALL THE SUBJECTS OFFERED AT THE HSC / EQUIVALENT EXAMINATIONS WHILE ENTERING
THE DATA IN THE “MARKS OBTAINED ” COLUMN.The objective is to verify the eligibility
criterion for admission to the course opted by the applic ant. The applic ant can proceed
to the next screen “PERSONAL DETAILS ” further if and only if he/she satisfies the
eligibility criterion of the course applied. Also you can proceed to the next screen only if the
data is entered for all the mandatory fields. The marks obtained by the candidate will be
converted to out of 600 and will be used to prepare the merit list. Students who have passed
the qualifying examination from the IB School are required to apply under the Diploma
Category for admission to FYBMS Course.
3. PERSONAL DETAIL: Eligible candidates will enter their personal details like their full name,
caste, blood group, Aadhar Card Number, date of birth, address for correspondence, mail_id
of the student (mandatory) etc. You will also be required to upload the scanned copy of the
candidate’s photograph, signature and any othe r document / certific ate used for seeking
admission which is a mandatory requirement.

EDUCATIONAL DETAIL: Information filled under “MARKS DETAILS” will be carried forward.
Additional information related to the SSC / its equivalent examination must be entered.
5. PARENT/ GUARDIAN DETAILS: Details of the parent / guardianof the applicants is to be
entered. Father’s / Mother’s email -id is one of the mandatory fields.
6. PREVIEW: This screen will generate the DRAFT COPY of application form in PDF format.
Candidate can verify the information filled and make the corrections in the online application
form before the form is submitted. Please note that this is the Draft Copy of the application
form for admission and not the final copy. Th e Draft Copy of the Application form is
generated without the application number.
7. SUBMIT: After verifying that the informa tion filled in steps(b) (i) to (v) , the
candidate must now click the “Submit” button to submit the form. Please note that no
correction can be made in the form after submission. Also an APPLICATION NUMBER is
generated on submission of the form. If the application no. is not generated then it implies
that the security instructions are not followed properly and in such cases the applic ant must
repeat all the steps s tated abo ve.
Save the form and take the hard copy i.e. the printout of the form.
Please note that once the application nu mber is generated, payment of Rs. 100/ - (and in case if payment
is made online additional convenie nce fee of Rs. 1.50 i.e. total Rs. 101.50) towards the application form
is to be made. The payment can be made in two ways viz. by using the payment gateway provided on
the website or through physical payment of the application fees at the college. FURTHER NOTE THAT
SUBMITTING THE HARD COPY OF THE APPLICATION FORM ALONG WITH THE DOCUMENTS IS
MANDATORY IRRESPECTIVE OF THE MODE OF PAYMENT OF THE APPLICATION FEES. The f ees c an be
paid at the college along with the submission of the hard copy of the form.
If payment of Rs. 101.50 is made and confirmed through the paymen t gateway, the applicant will
receive an email confirming the payment. The applic ant must submit the hardcopy of this mail along
with the hardcopy of the application form along with the photocopy of the necessary documents to the
college authorities.
The candi date can fill and submit the application form for the same course in different colleges under
SVKM / Different Courses in the same college / differ ent courses in different colleges under SVKM. After
following steps b(I to V) , separate applic ation num ber will be generated for every application
submitted. Applicant is not required to fill all the data again for submitting the forms for different /
same course in same / different college under SVKM.
IRRESPECTIVE OF THE MODE OF PAYMENT OF THE APPLICATION FEE, The applicant will have to submit
the hardcopy of the application form submitted online along with photocopy of H.S.C. or equivalent
examination marksheet and other necessary documents t o t he college within the prescribed time
schedule and the applicant will be given an acknowledgement. If the name of the applicant appears on
the merit list, the original copy of this acknowledgement along with all the necessary documents and
fees must be provided at the time of confirming the admission.
APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO NOTE THAT ONLY THOSE NAMES WHERE APPLICATION NUMBER IS
GENERATED & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT OF HARDCOPY OF THE UPLOADED ONLINE ADMISSION
FORM is issued, WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR generation of Merit List and Admission.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR INTERNATIONAL / FOREIGN STUDENT
FYBA, FYBSc., FYBCom.,
FYBMS, FYBAF, FYBFM, FYBBI and FYBMM CLASS(2014-2015)
Foreign Students and/or N.R.I. are treated as International Student.
A student holding the passpor t issued by a foreign co untry including people of Indian origin who have
acquired the nationality of a foreign country will be treated treated/defined/included as foreign student .
NRI students who have studied and passed the qualifying examinations from schools or colleges in
foreign countries will be included as “International Students".
Student who has studied and passed the qualifying examination (equivalent to HSC Examination of
Maharashtra State Board) from school or college in fo reign countries (other than India) will be included
as “International Student". This will include the stude nts studying in the school s or colleges situated in
foreign countries even if affiliated to the Boards of Secondary Educatio n or Universities located in India
but will not include students studying in those schools or colleges (situated in India) and affiliated to the
Boards of Secondary Education or Universities of the foreign countries.
SEPARATE QUOTA FOR INTE RNALTIONAL STUDENTS:
There is separate quota for International Students. All recognized colleges / institutes affiliated to
University of Mumbai can admit 15% International Students in addition to the sanctioned intake of
students.
FEE PAYABLE BY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
The fees payable by the International Student will be five times the total prescribed fees payable for the
course/program by the regular student and fe es has to be paid in Indian Rupees only.
ADMISSION PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT:
Given below is the procedure for admission for International Student:
a. All International students including children of workers in Gulf & Southeast Asia and PIO/OCI are
requested to obtain detail information on fees, courses available at the college before confirming their
admission.
b. Student will have to:
1. Collect the application form and the prospectus for the course to which the applicant wish to seek
admission from the Institute / from the website of the institute.
2. The applicant must also collect the informationregarding the eligibility requirements and admission
procedure of the institute.
3. Fill up the admission form in detail and submit all the documents listed below along with the form.
A valid student visa or document of PIO (person of Indian origin).
A RRO clearance certificate from the SB2 Crime Branch.
A permanent address or residential proof in the foreign country.
A prima facie letter from the University of Mumbai for eligibility.
A complete body checkup profile and blood report of the student.
Original mark sheets, transfer certificate, migration certificate, a letter from the Consulate (in case
of NRI students).
4. The forms will be scrutiniz ed before being accepted . Also the student will be informed about the
requirement of any other information or document. Th e student is required to submit the information
/ documents within the stipulated time period.
5. The duly completed forms must be submitted within the time frame prescribed by the College.
Incomplete application forms will be rejected and will not be considered for admission.
6. Admission to the First Year Courses is strictly based on the merit of the marks of the applicants.
7. Once the name of the applicant appears in the merit list, the applicant will have to confirm the
admission by paying the stipulated fees within the time frame prescribed by the admission failing
which the applicant will lose his/her option of admission. No student from the earlier merit list will be
admitted after he stipulated time period and/or display of the subsequent merit list.
