US patented technology on organic formulation of Pseudomonas fluorescens and Trichoderma harzianum - An Innovation from IIHR (ICAR), Bengaluru United States patent US patent – No: US 7,923,005 B2, Australian patent – No. AU 2007216174 B2 and Indian patent - No.250779 were granted to Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, (ICAR, DARE, Ministry of Agriculture, New Delhi) and Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi for an organic microbial consortia formulation containing versatile bio-agents namely Pseudomonas fluorescens and Trichoderma harzianum (Innovators: Dr. M. S. Rao & Dr. N. Ramachandran). These bio-agents are most eco-friendly microbes which are helpful in increasing the plant growth in a sustainable manner. As the formulation is organic in nature these bio-agents establish very well in the soil eco-systems. These bio-agents do lot of good to the society. These bio-agents ameliorate the toxic effects of chemical residues in soil eco-systems. Utilization of these organic preparation in Indian agriculture can reduce the water pollution to a very great extent. It will help in maintaining the ecological balance in the nature. All these bio-agents are natural and not man made. Application of this organic formulation can increase the growth of the all most all the crops in a significant manner.
