Please contact [email protected] for any questions and/or changes to the diploma name that was submitted Tuesday, September 30 3:00 – 4:00 PM Or Wednesday, October 1, 2014 6:00 – 7:00 PM The Commencement website will be updated as information becomes available. Visit the site weekly throughout the semester to make sure you have all the latest information. Communication regarding graduation and commencement will be sent to your ggc.edu email. Be sure to check it often so that you will not miss important communication. 2014/index.html Registrar’s Office Order Cap and Gown Order on-­‐line at http://colleges.herffjones.com/college/_ggc/ The last day to order your gap and gown online is Friday, October 24 Click on Order a Cap and Gown link Cap, gown and tassel can be ordered at no additional cost as they are covered by your $50 application for graduation fee Order optional items such Order on-­‐line at as announcements, http://colleges.herffjones.com/college/_ggc/ diploma frames, GGC rings, etc. The last day to order optional graduation items (announcements, etc.) is Friday, October 24 Pick up Cap and Gown Monday, December 1 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 2:00pm Friday Note: Try on cap and gown to ensure correct size. Attend Ring/Regalia Day Thursday, October 23 Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm Lifetouch Cap and Gown December 1 Portrait Day Time: TBD Commencement Regalia Graduating seniors may only wear regalia that have been sanctioned by GGC clubs and organizations. Note: Academic honors cords are provided by GGC and will be given out at rehearsal. Academic honor cords will be awarded based on end of last semester GPA Outstanding requirements should be satisfied by Monday December 12, 2014 Please contact the Registrar’s Office if you have questions regarding your non-­‐course requirements. Note: Any unsatisfied non-­‐course degree requirements (determined by your program of study) will prevent awarding of degree and participation in Commencement ceremonies. Contact your GGC honor organization representative for information regarding ordering *Schedule any unsatisfied test requirements by contacting the GGC Testing Check your holds now – and be sure that all student Visit Student Accounts, D1147 for payment of account, parking and library holds are cleared up by the fines end of the semester. (NOTE: You will not be able to participate in graduation commencement with outstanding balance) by Monday, December 12 NOTE: This does not include mentor holds Attend Exit Interview with Financial Aid Graduating students who have borrowed through the Direct Stafford Student Loan Programs are required to complete an exit counseling online. The exit interview will provide you with repayment information as well, which will help you understand when to begin paying back your loans. December 12 www.studentloans.gov You will need your FAFSA pin number to sign in then click on Complete Counseling. You will then click on Exit Counseling in the last box on the right. Complete all Fall semester courses with the required grade Failure to earn a passing grade (determined by your program of study) will prevent a student from graduating and participating in Commencement ceremonies. Safe personal account, and submit your request for an academic transcript. You may request an electronic transcript or a transcript to be mailed. Transcripts cost a minimum of $3 per transcript. Transcripts can be ordered now and requested to hold for degree. Deadline to RSVP – December 1 Graduates are asked to complete the Graduate RSVP form. Guests do not need to complete this form. Women should wear clothes that won't show above the collar or below the hem of the gown and dark shoes. When selecting clothing for graduation, dark colors and neutral patterns will look the best.
