ecosystems including biotic communities, reef development,
and the impact of environmental change. Students must enroll
in BIO/GLY 461, which is a second 8-week spring semester
course (March 14 - May 8). This course will examine the
ecological and geological processes in reef ecosystems,
benthic and pelagic biotic communities, reef development and
erosion, sedimentation, ancient and modern reefs, and
responses to environmental change. The course culminates in
a marine research study abroad experience!
