INTRODUCTION
A business manager is required to handle variety of situations in his/her daily
routine. Situations seldom appear in classical manner. Handling situations require
high degree of analytical & problem solving skills, knowledge of domain, working
under time pressure and quick grasp of situational variables. For business
management students, business situations are typically made available through
relevant case studies, which have narration of business situations occurred in the
past.
Case Folio (Case Analysis & Presentation Competition) is designed to offer a real
business situation with a international level business case written and published by
reputed agency. Teams of students from various business schools are given same
case to analyse in a short duration of time, prepare their solution and present to the
peers and experts. This allows the business management students to analyse,
interpret, formulate, present their solutions and design strategies for taking
suitable steps. Case Analysis & Presentation Competition is a refreshing,
stimulating and dynamic contest, through which students have the opportunity to
learn and compete.
Case Folio is an annual event organized by Gitarattan International Business School
that brings students from different business schools together to compete in
stimulating environment.

CASE PRESENTATION COMPETITION-OBJECTIVES
To provide a unique platform for B - school students across the country

to sharpen their analytical and problem solving skills which focus on
understanding, analytical ability and judgment.
l
To develop confidence in dealing effectively with the wide array of
difficult situations faced during organizational decision making.
l
To develop teamwork and leadership qualities among the students.
PROGRAM DESIGN
Case Folio-2014 has been carefully designed to meet the objectives
stipulated for the program. The program will be conducted in two phases.
Phase I – Written Analysis Round (8th November, 2014)
A Case Write-up shall be given to all registered teams. Each team shall
prepare an analysis of the Case. Out of the registered teams, best teams
shall be selected for the final round for power point presentations.
Phase II – Final Round (8th November, 2014)
Presentations and Oral Defence: Participants shall be required to make
power point presentations for 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes of question
answer session in the presence of panel of judges.
PARTICIPATION RULES
l
Only one team from a Business School can participate.
l
A Team may comprise of 2-4 participants.
l
Participation fee of Rs.1000 (One Thousand Rupees only) per team.
Individuals other than participating teams can register themselves at a
nominal fee of Rs 300.
l
Registration Fees should be sent in the form of Demand Draft in favor of
GITARATTAN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL payable at Delhi.
Note: In case of any cancellation, no amount will be refunded. Participation
fee includes- tea, snacks, lunch, Case Folio Kit and Registration fee.
Outstation teams are to make their own arrangements for lodging and
boarding facility. However, assistance shall be provided on request to avail
the facility in the vicinity of the Institute.
PRIZE CLASSIFICATION
I Prize:
Rolling Trophy, Cash Prize of Rs. 15, 000, Mementos and
Certificate of Merit
II Prize:
Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000, Mementos and Certificate of
Merit
III Prize: Cash Prize of Rs. 7,500, Mementos and Certificate of
Merit
All participants will be awarded with Certificates of Participation.
ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
Gitarattan International Business School (giBS) was established in the year 2004.
giBS is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is
approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, and
Government of India. It is accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation
Council (NAAC) and is ISO 9001: 2008 certified. The Institute is assessed in
Category 'A' by the Joint Assessment Committee of Government of NCT of Delhi and
