Health care environments and care needs are continuously changing, which require health care professionals to evolve accordingly. The nursing roles have been rapidly evolving as nurses are tasked with a wider range of health care responsibilities. The value of inter-professional collaboration is emphasized more than ever. Leadership has become a key value. With many challenges we are facing in the field of health care, it is worthwhile to bring forth challenges we are facing, initiate discussions and prepare to move forward. I hope this conference will function as a platform of nursing evolution in the 21st century. Eulji University is uniquely specialized in the field of health care education in Korea. We are always willing to take on responsibility with a sense of duty in educating health care professionals and providing quality care.
