Read and accepted as correct.
Matters Arising:
1. Taupo Safe District Plan 2014/15
Coalition members have rated agency priorities based on the WHO criteria. Project Officer to
collect and develop and brief Strategic plan on priority issues to be worked on over the next two
years.
2. Safe homes project progess.
Turangi launch at Hirangi school on Mawake place had 20 homes sign up. Safe Turangi
Coordinator, Community Constable and Neighbourhood support have visited all homes signed up.
Data on what has been distributed is being collated.
Tauhara launch at Pihanga reserve had 45 homes sign up. Fire have almost completed their
assessments and the team will incorporate an additional 40 pensioner flats onto this list to
complete by the end of April. Data and records are being kept on each home.
Coalition to organise a date in May/June 2014 to conduct the ‘door to door method’
Plus an additional Neighbourhood event.
3. Evaluate Bar Safe
Project Officer looking into statistics of alcohol related crime in Taupo (CBD) Police annual report.
Get feedback from the liquor accord and licensed premises on the success and challenges. Any
further support or training required.

Project Officer to email to members an electronic version for their records.
4. Suicide Prevention Space
Quick discussion by members – needs some proactive activities and group meetings to continue
post Christine Priestly. Look into funding pathways to support the Taupo District Suicide
prevention plan. Invite key people to next meeting.
General business:

Gloria updated VIN activities and meetings.
Casey updated LDHB activities.
Joy updated Neighbourhood support activities in Taupo and Turangi.
