ANNOUNCEMENT Singapore – Sep 15, 2014 – The Management of IAG Healthsciences Pte Ltd (“IAG”) and Guangxi Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants are pleased to announce that they have reached a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate and jointly develop a China-Asean Traditional Chinese Medicinal platform. 1. The objective of the co-operation covers Research, identification and Qualification of Chinese medicinal botanics by chemical profiling to create a repository and distribution centre for reference-standard profiles of Chinese botanics modelled after the ATCC .Profiling will include the 4 established finger-printing methods in the western world, namely – HPLC/TLC, DNA, FarInfrared (FIR). 2. Establish IP protection of proprietary international legal frameworks. ! formularies through established 3. Commercialize the registered Chinese medicinal botanics and its derivative products (the “Products”) based on international quality standards and uniform set of regulations. 4. Research and development in the area of pain management for treatment of cancer, obstetrics, gynaecology and paediatrics etc. 。! The areas of this joint co-operation include: 1. Research and development in Traditional Chinese Medicines. 2. Aged care , healthcare and wellness. 3. Chinese medical and healthcare system 4. Trading ( local and international) of Traditional Chinese Medicines. ! This collaboration received the support of the Guangxi Health and Family Planning Commission, Guangxi Administration of TCM and the Guangxi Investment Promotion Agency who were present during the signing ceremony. 2 Guangxi Health and Family Planning Commission Director, Li Guojian elaborated that: Once we set up a China - ASEAN Centre oF Excellence For Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangxi, we can then utilise Guangxi’s rich heritage in TCM clinical medicine, abundant TCM resources, aged care, longevity and other advantages coupled with Singapore technology, inFormation management and strong international trading links, to cooperate and jointly promote Chinese medicine research, intellectual property protection, and to assist in the certiFication oF TCM products to meet international standards thereby promoting the trading oF these products internationally. !
