 Sulaiman ZAINUL ABIDIN IAP Chief Operating Officer Pioneer Aerodrome Services Co., Ltd. (Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports) Sulaiman is the first from Singapore to be accredited the IAP in 2010. He served in Changi Airport as an Airport Manager at Terminal 3 and the Budget Terminal. Having left Changi Airport, Sulaiman currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Pioneer Aerodrome Services, airport operator for Yangon and Naypyitaw Airports in Myanmar. In Myanmar, Sulaiman manages 2 of the 3 international airports, overseeing the functions of Operations, Maintenance, Commercial Development, Airport Strategy, Finance and Human Resources. Last year, at Yangon Airport, passenger traffic was 3.7 million, with international traffic enjoying a tremendous 26.5% growth as a result of sanctions being lifted against Myanmar. In over 12 years in aviation, Sulaiman's career highlights includes successfully driving the ORAT processes at Changi Airport Terminal 3 in 2008, managing Airport Service Quality (ASQ) at 3 different airports, namely Changi Airport, King Fahd International Airport in Saudi Arabia, and in Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, as well as a 5‐year stint in aircraft maintenance in San Antonio, Texas. Sulaiman holds a MBA in Aviation from Embry‐Riddle Aeronautical University, a Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, and has also completed several professional courses at various accredited institutions. He is concurrently an Instructor for ACI‐AMPAP.
