INTER FIRE SERVICES CRICKET TOURNAMENT OF THE SRI
LANKA BRANCH OF THE INSTITUTION OF FIRE ENGINEERS
(UK) 2014
The Inter Fire Services Cricket Tournament of The Sri Lanka Branch of the
Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) was successfully held at CMC Muthuwella
ground at Colombo 15 all over the day on 22nd November 2014.
The tournament was organized and sponsored by Fire Unit Colombo Dockyard
PLC
Officer bearers of the IFE Sri Lanka Branch and senior officers from Colombo
Dockyard PLC participated for the opening ceremony.
Thirteen teams represented thirteen fire brigades island wide. Participation of a
team from Jaffna Fire Brigade was drawn the attention and made the happiness of
all. We could arrange familiarization visit in CDPLC and treated them well on
previous day of the tournament.
Following teams were participated for the tournament and CMC Fire Brigade
Colombo won the match while Bandaranayake International Airport Katunayaka
Fire Brigade could hold the place of runners up.
