A new exhibition concept
Since it was first held in 2005, Made in Steel has offered a completely innovative formula, summed up by
the expression conference & exhibition. A combination that expresses the two souls that co-exist within this
event.
This systematic vision has seen the event grow and become established, able to bring together all levels of
the steel industry: from producers of steel material to the very wide range of steel users, in the most diverse
economic sectors.
Steel is the material underlying the world’s wellbeing. A raw material with a structural and strategic value.
Siderweb, thoroughly knows the steel industry, therefore it created Made in Steel, based on the need to
establish a single contact point for everything relating to steel for the business – by involving in the event
the most prominent international players active in the industry -, as well as for information and knowledge.

An industry and international event
The solution is not in dividing but in aggregating. Letting information, ideas, projects and innovation free to circulate
throughout the whole steel industry. This was the assumption that led Made in Steel to organize this biennial event,
with the participation of all the levels of the steel industry. Also the meetings organized by the conference &
exhibition – held by the most illustrious figures in the world – are conceived to meet information and training needs
for the whole steel industry, by authoritatively tackling major themes for steel producers, distributers and users.
The steel industry is a global market, which features the typical excellent examples of «Corporate Italy». Made in
Steel has decided to make internationalization a necessary objective. Widening its horizons to take on an
international character means involving foreign players for which Italy is a strategic market in terms of purchases
and sales. Since the potential growth of the industry is also connected to emerging countries, Made in Steel appeals
also to exhibitors and visitors coming from these areas, as well as from the historically leading countries in the
industry. Finally, the entire Made in Steel community is the target of reference for the hosting nation, impregnated
with culture, traditions and art, which has been able to write pages of absolute significance for the history of the iron

and steel industry and of the metal working industry.
