Collection door to door in commercial areas •Glass are collected using containers laid out in the streets of Madrid. 6.087 units = 18.261.000 liters (3000 l/unit) (5.68 liters/ihb) •Packaging fraction containers: 96.330 units and 29.116.560 liters (8,99 l/ihb). • Mix waste fraction is collected in two ways, depending on the area of the city where the collection is being held (street containers + door to door). •Generally speaking, the central area of the city is collected using 2 wheel containers (from 120 to 360 liters of capacity) given to each waste production centre (residential buildings, shops, etc.). The outskirts of the city, are collected using 4 wheel containers (from 800 to 3,200 liters of capacity) laid out in the streets. This tax is applied to every citizen who owns a building in Madrid city. Tax value according surface of home. – Teeping fee for every process. It is used by private companies, institutions, etc. is calculated on the every process cost – Sale of recovery materials. The city council closes agreements with the Integrated Management Systems (Ecoembes, Ecovidrio, …) in order to get the incomes from green dot. – Sale of energy. Obtained in the waste to energy plant and in the degasification of an old 110 Ha landfill. – Sale of biomethane.
