INTRODUCTION TO IPR:
CONSIDERATIONS IN CONTRACT DRAFTING
COVERAGE AND GOAL
The lecture will cover the basic aspects of intellectual property rights (often referred to
as IP or IPR), main concepts, objectives and different types of intellectual property.
Additionally, it will address some of the practical issues regarding intellectual property
contracts, with focus on patents and so called “soft IP”.
THE LECTURE
Students are required to read the material listed below which is available online (copy
paste the link to the web addresses stated below under the reading list). The materials
will not be handed out.
Students are expected to come prepared to the lecture and be ready to participate
actively. During the lecture students may be asked to explain and discuss some of the
