VENUE
The conference will be held at the beautiful
Baghdad-ul-Jadeed (BJ) Campus of the IUB
which is located at about 15 minute drive
from the Sheikh Rashid International
Airport and about 10 minutes from the
Bahawalpur city. Bank, post office, stores,
restaurants and travel agencies are also
located within short distances of the BJ
Campus. Shuttle service after every half an
hour is freely available to the campus
residents and the participants of an event
staying in campus, to take them to various
parts of the city including shopping centers
and other attractions.

SCOPE
It gives me an immense pleasure to invite
you to the 12th International Conference
of Pakistan Society of Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology (ICPSBMB), being held
in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur
(IUB), Pakistan, during December 4-7,
2014. Over 100 eminent scientists and
researchers from all over the world are

leading experts in various fields of
Biochemical Sciences, Molecular Biology
and Biotechnology from all around the
world to share their expertise with the
young and the emerging scientists and
forge global partnerships for utilization of
the relevant knowledge for the benefit of
humanity.
REGISTRATION
The registration fee includes entry to
scientific
lectures,
poster
sessions,
exhibition, full set of abstracts, a copy of
the conference program, daily refreshments
(tea/coffee),
conference
banquet,
cultural/musical evening, welcome mixer
and free transportation from hotels/guest
houses to the venue. Accompanying
persons can attend welcome mixer,
conference banquet and cultural/musical
evening programs. However, an early bird
registration is recommended. Although a
limited desk registration will be available,
accommodation and entry to social events
is not guaranteed. A special tour of some
historical
monuments
situated
in
Bahawalpur and the nearby Cholistan
desert will be organized on payment basis.

VISA
International participants are requested to
apply for a visa to the nearest Embassy or
High Commission of Pakistan. Participant
from countries with no Pakistani diplomatic
mission should also write to the Secretariat
at least three months in advance. A formal
invitation letter would be required from the
Organizing Secretary for this purpose.
ACCOMMODATION
All Foreign Speakers will be accommodated
in fully furnished IUB Guest houses. Hotel
reservations can be made at request.
Participants/students from Pakistan can
reserve their accommodation from the
hotels/Guest houses/Hostels in advance,
on self-payment basis. Complementary
transportation will be provided to all
participants during the Conference.
GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PREPARATION
All posters must be in English. The poster
board area will be 80 cm × 110 cm. Try to
use large letters for the titles, authors, and
affiliation. Do not use smaller fonts for
figures or text. Minimize text and maximize
the number of figures, schemes, and
structures. The figure legends are essential
and should be concise. The contents must
be readable from at least six feet.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The program will consist of plenary
lectures, keynote lectures, session lectures
and poster presentations. Each session will
address a theme topic within the area.
Special events will be arranged to ensure a
lively interaction among scientists.
